Family style restaurant in the best tradition

We had dinner here twice during our cycling week with a group of 4 and were treated very well, although our menu was part of a package. Despite this, we were welcomed every time with tapas and treated as any other guest. Special request were always honoured and at no extra charge ( even when asked... read more

We have visited this charming restaurant, down a gloriously cool alleyway, in late summer for the last couple of years - the staff are courteous, friendly and professional and the food.... wow! - try the black pudding, it's glorious! - or the taster menus. Cannot fault this place and it will be visited on all our future journeys to Andalucia.... More

During our stop in Ronda, we happened on this restaurant and enjoyed it very much. We ordered tapas - so we were able to try different things. The service was quite good. The price was reasonable, too. There is a bathroom - though tiny. They do carry out boxes as our tour captain took the food we had left over... More

We arrived in Ronda at lunchtime, checked into our hotel, and set off to find something to eat. So many places looked over-touristy; we stumbled on this place and went into the tapas bar (not the restaurant) because we were hungry. Good call. The tapas were all brilliant, especially the albóndigas and the migas. The waitress was friendly and helpful,... More

Service was excellent (we were speaking Spanish) and food also very good. It was a family dinner, 7 people at the table and ordered 6 entrants to share and 4 mains to share as well. Plates came gradually so we could enjoy them warm. Food was very good, grate flavours with all the traditional dishes reaching high standards. A great... More

We ate here last night. We shared a combination of tapas, it was all ok but nothing special. The wine was nice, and it is reasonably priced. I wouldn't go back as there must be better places in Ronda

My wife & I first visited the Hermanos Macias restaurant on a day excursion a few years ago.We were so impressed by the very Spanish cuisine & the atmosphere that we always eat here at least once during our visits. The menu is a delight & not expensive. The Quality & variety of the food & wine are the keynotes of... More

Kindly staff. Paella was good, freshly prepared. But the best was the bull's tail. Juicy and tender. I recommend to everyone.

After reading good reviews we decided to try here. We had dined in Pedro Romero on a previous visit and now wish we had repeated it. Prices are reasonable at macias but everything is so bland. Uninspiring watery mixed salad, lamb stew and rabbit stew seemed to have identical sauces with a little sliced potatoes on the side. Most unforgivable... More

As our last stop of a round trip in Spain, we ended up in Ronda. We visited this restaurant 2 days in a row. The rabbit with garlic is one of the best rabbit dishes I have ever eaten. Beeing Belgian, we do have some fantastic rabbit recipes, so I don't say this often! The dishes are simple but this... More
