Description: Chefs Fraser Macfarlane and Georgina Mitropoulos opened Quatrefoil Restaurant in May, 2010. Since then, the restaurant has been named among the top 10 best new Canadian restaurants of 2010 by enRoute Magazine, and among the top 10 best new restaurants of 2011 in Toronto by Toronto Life magazine. Quatrefoil Restaurant is also featured as a prime dining destination in the 2011 edition of Where to Eat in Canada. Located in the quaint community of Dundas, Ontario, the restaurant offers contemporary French cuisine in a charming heritage home turned modern eatery. Macfarlane and Mitropoulos, a husband-and-wife team, met in the kitchen of Toronto's Scaramouche Restaurant, before heading to Europe to seek out new food styles and experiences. Together, the pair has cooked in some of the best Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe, training under notable chefs such as Marco Pierre White, Gordon Ramsay and Gary Hollihead.

We have been here for lunch and dinner on several occasions. Some people may think it's expensive; however, you cannot have a better meal and 'experience'. Every staff member is a professional, knowledgeable and friendly. An afternoon lunch outside under that gorgeous tree is simply exquisite. Unlike 'Ellen's' comment about the restaurant not being 'packed', we've been on a Tuesday... More

Wonderful atmosphere, great service, amazing food! Only slight on this place is that it's so pricey! I get it. Five star restaurants are expensive... but I would think if they brought the prices down ever so slightly that they would be packed day in and day out. When we were there the restaurant was half empty. Probably due to the... More

Quatrefoil offers in a nice setting. The food is always outstanding and there is enough choice on the menu, although a little more variation could be welcome (I visit Quatrefoil on a semi-regular basis because my employer offers our visitors dinner here). The waiters are always attentive and very professional. The only drawback is the price, although there is a... More

We dined at Quatrefoil for a special birthday dinner back in November 2013. The atmosphere and decor is beautiful. Clean and classic design without being too stark. Our server was attentive and friendly while wholly knowledgeable of every item on the menu. The wine selection is excellent. This place is obviously being run by people who have a passion for... We have been to Quatrefoil several times. Mostly for that "special" dinner. We have always found the service and meal excellent. The portion sizes are ample and the meals are unique and very tasty. It is a small restaurant so you may be seated close to another table but it is still possible to have a private conversation. The wait... More

Visited Quatrefoil for lunch twice and have not been disappointed. I am not sure why other reviewers were so disappointed with their visit. Trout was cooked perfectly. Second time had eggs benedict and it was very well prepared. The atmosphere was romantic. The only complaint I have is that this restaurant is not open 7 days a week. Tuesday to... More

Been to this wonderful converted heritage property in the heart of Dundas twice - once for lunch and once for dinner. The space is very well appointed with transitional decor and contemporary facilities. Their prix fixe is by far the best value on there. One previous reviewer indicated the wait time was too long. The restaurant makes it a point... More

After reading the accolades for this restaurant, we had high expectations. The waitstaff were excellent, and the best part of the evening, delivering consistently highly professional and attentive service. However, there was a definite problem with the kitchen, as the wait time between courses was far too long (15 to 20 minutes). As we had a 8 p.m. reservation, this... More
