Pasta is homemade fresh, vegetarian alternatives available, desserts as well, couldn't decide from available options, nice environment and have breakfast alternatives as well.

Definitely a must visit if you're in the mood for a traditional European dining experience. Very nice dining atmosphere. Food is filled with just the perfect amount of flavor with every meal I've tried.

considering the low level of cuisine in the entire region this place was quite good for a NYC foodie.

My husband and I have asked ourselves: "What a curious thing?! A German restaurant in Puerto Rico?!" But on our last trip to Rincon, some friends invited us to meet them at Das Alpen. What a delightful surprise! The food and the service were wonderful! I have not eaten much German food in my life, so I have no basis... More

Atmosphere isn't nice at all. Service and food was good. I wasn't impressed by the place. In my opinion it looks too deteriorated. Location is very good and everything was as ordered.

Das Alpen is a curious blend of German and Italian dishes, leaning more to the German side, I think. But they just kill a few things that no one else around here does. For example, they do a double cut brined and grilled pork chop that will have you talking to yourself. The jaegerschnitzel is another favorite. Everything on the... More

Clean, inviting restaurant with excellent customer service. The Jägerschnitzel was cooked perfectly, as was the red cabbage. The coffee was the best on the island.

In the san juan night bar hopping tour, my first stop in das halpen cafe. Two artisan aleman beers and pretzel with mustard sauce, great combination . Nice ambience , great beers and good service.

We stumbled upon this our last night in Rincon and are so glad we did. Excellent food and service. We tried a few samplers and will definitely make this our go-to spot the next time we are visiting in the town. YUMMY!

Location is very accesible (if you go by main street, there is no way you can miss it). The food is real good (not quite like in Germany, but it is the best on the island, as far as I have tried). The service was excellent, the background music was ok, actually Northern Italy (Dolomiten) and Souther Germany the main... More
