Loved the tiny bar. Friendly staff. The outside looks a little dumpy, but once you get inside your forget! Our server was really helpful finding our way around and showed us a good map with suggestions for dinner.

Bolitas de mero, arroz mamposteao, churrasco, and stuffed mofongos are among the dishes that we tried. Really good, best prices in Rincón.

We usually eat here for dinner one night when we go to Rincon. They have a good menu and the prices are decent. I don't ever have drinks here because the location has no view or scenery, but it's good for a quick bite to eat :)

Food was not fresh. The rice was hard and the beans were not fully cooked. The waitress brought our meal and never bothered to ask why we did not eat it. Had to flag down the waitress for the check and she still did not return for 10 minutes. Will not return.

My husband and I were staying at a Hotel near the restaurant and my sister had been there before so she encouraged us to go there. The curb appeal threw us off but sure enough, once the waitress brought our seafood salads we were in for a nice surprise! The portions were huge, everything tasted fresh and home made ,... More

Generally after 15 minutes you expect to receive a glass of water. But not at this place! Come fully hydrated and with a lot of patience...because you will need it. Also, our waiter smelled like he had been drinking. Nice! Enjoy!

NAME: Rincon Tropical [1] TITLE: “Lied about their Seafood” [Tripadvisor, review #42, 2 March 2014] SUMMARY: They lied about their fish and its freshness. Average to poor local food. They are badly over rated online and said they do not like tourists. I cannot recommend them. Their online reviews are misleading. RANKING: Poor. 27TH out of 62 Restaurants in Rincon... More

The fried whole red snapper was freshly caught and deliciously prepared, as was the mofongo with chicken chicharrones.
