Worth the adventurous drive. Great view. And for as long as I live, I will not forget the French toast with chocolate sauce. I want some of it right now!!!
This is our fourth trip to eat breakfast at the English Rose. The effort it takes to get there is WELL worth the experience. If you are fortunate enough to set at an outside table you will not want to leave after your meal is finished. The food is fabulous and the staff makes you feel like you are the... More
Getting to this place is just part of the experience. The place is always clean, the waitress are attentive. One advise is to call ahead or the day prior in order to make sure they will be open for business since they have different hours of operations depending on the season. If possible try to get an outside table because... More
We went in search of an amazing breakfast and found possibly the best one of our lives. A winding road that offers a roller coaster like feel and exciting driving experience is only the beginning. You arrive at the English Rose feeling accomplished already. Next you will notice the incredible ocean and mountain views and quaint ambiance of this beautiful... More
We've been there twice. I'm so glad that they are accepting reservations now because before it was a disaster. My recommendation is to make sure to call the day before, otherwise the waiting could be up to an hour. The menu is different so go with an open mind eve though they also have the usual. They make everything fresh... More
Alway clean, courtesy, great view and good food. Decent price too. The drive to this place is part of the adventure, you drive up a hill that was made for an oxen cart. Soo cool!
First time we went (total of 2 persons), we got there at 12pm, they didn't received us because they said the their schedule for saturdays is from 8am-12pm, so ok we understood. We went again next weekend at 11:10am, the restaurant wasn't even full, and the lady said very nicely we are closed, we are open from 8am-1130am, and if... More
Hello. First of all thank you for visiting the English Rose. I am sorry you did not have a positive experience with us. I am a little mislead by your review title because you never actually sat down and had any type of service with us. Maybe it is just that you do not clearly understand how we operate. Our... More
When you are looking for this incredible breakfast place you will get to it from 413 and take the road directly across the street from the sign for Steps Beach. It is quite the drive up the mountain but it is worth every inch. When you pull up to the English Rose you will first notice the gorgeous views sprawled... More
The Food is awesome and all homemade. You have to try the Passion Fruit Ice Tea. Delicious! I had a sausage, egg and veggie scramble that was YUM! My son had french toast that I finished even though I was already full. Not sure what everyone else had but we all left happy. Worth the 30-60 minute wait on Sunday... More
