Good food balances the price

Located in the "Casas colgantes" we went here as much because of that as for the food. Good service. I am a bit surprised that the design is so modern, I would have preferred if they had made more use of the possibilities of the medieval environment

Call in beforehand to reserve a spot on the terrace (terraza). The view is wonderful. Expect to eat dinner late in the evening; the evening light over the medieval gorge is beyond words. Really excellent presentation of the food. (It took me a while to catch on; in Spain you don't get the check until you ask for it. Do... More

We had lunch here and were impressed with food, friendly staff and excellent service. There are lots of Spanish specialties on the menu but the sirloin steak was also spectacular. Highly recommended

Vegetarians are ill served by Spanish cuisine which, given the very high quality of its fruit and veg has always been a mystery to me. Ham seems to sneak into every dish and vegetable stock is unheard of. Still, you pay your money and you take your choice as they say. The setting is in a small street just up... More

On family vacation. Restaurant is in one of the "hanging houses" so it has a great view. Food was traditional higher end Spanish fool, ie pork, lamb and fish. None of use were crazy about the food, but that may be more a reflection of the fact that none of us are crazy about Spanish food. Desert was excellent. Service... More

Our lunches were quite good-- soup was good, salmon salads and stuffed eggplant were great with wonderful presentation. Flan dessert was very good too. The wait staff was definitely friendlier than we have encountered in Cuenca.

Outstanding service from the very knowlegable and friendly waitress on duty. Excellent apetizers, main courses mixed- good suckling pig and filet steak but lamb dish disapointing. Will definitely return on next visit to Cuenca

Found this restaurant on Trip Advisor and booked a table on the site. It is near the cathedral down a side street. We received a warm reception and were seated promptly on a table for 4 giving the 2 of us plenty of room. The table had crisp white table linen. We had The Romantico set menu for 35 euros... More

The location is breathtaking, overlooking the valley and the Parador (an old converted convent) from the precipitous edge of the old town. Sadly, it was a little cold to eat outside, but the decor inside was pleasant and the tables set with crisp white linen. The food was really excellent and my wife who is vegetarian, found enough choices on... More

Very difficult to fault. Friendly, professional service, lovely setting with super views over the valley and "hanging houses", elegant decoration and, most importantly, fantastic food at very reasonable prices.
