This is a hostal but you can eat in their diningroom. The restaurant was full on our visit but the owner said we could have a table in another adjoining room, we had a lovely meal here at a reasonable cost. The word 'hostal' does not fit this lovely old fashioned hotel which was a lovely surprise when we entered.

The interior is rustic but don't let that put you off because the food is the thing you are here for. There is plenty of choice with some regional specialities to choose from. All of the dishes we chose were both tasty and generous in size at very good prices. Each night, there are special dishes prepared which are well... More

We stopped at this place just based on its menu posted on the street. We were a little worried at first as we had to make our way down through the Hotel lobby to a lower level to get to the restaurant and we were starting to get that "well we can't turn back now" vibe when we finally made... More

This is a shame to give this place a "3" scoring as the food was really tasty and excellent quality. My quandary was more with the very "average" service, apart from the young girl there how radiated a warm smile and happy attitude, the other staff members seemed a little despondent and lacking enthusiasm. On arrival we kind of wandered... More

I wasnt quite sure about this restaurant which is located within a hostel style hotel in Cuenca when I first saw it. But what a treat. The view was spectacular over the gorge and the food was excellent. I would recommend the Avocado and Prawn salad with the most delicious dressing. We had the duck which was fantastic and comes... Not only was this our favourite place to eat in Cuenca, it's one of the tastiest meals we've had during our 9 day trip in Spain. Given the reviews on Trip Advisor and the advice from the person running our accommodation we initially headed to El Secreto only to discover it is closed for dinner on Tuesdays and all day... More

One of the best meals in Spain, sitting next to the window overlooking the gorge and the Parador. We started with olives and wine before dinner. service was a little slow, but pleasant, and we were in no hurry. Every course was a delight and not a bacalao in sight. The Fontal tempranillo in a 50cl bottle was exceptional. The... More

The view is great; the fried eggs with ham and potatoes were quintessential Espana; and the €10 bottle of local wine made the evening perfect. We met the owner and she recommended the brownie and ice cream for dessert and it was a fine recommendation. Very satisfying experience and quite affordable for the setting high above a beautiful cliff.

Stopped in for an early lunch (ordered a mixture of tapas). Good choice for vegetarians. Food outstanding. If you want a table by the window - and you do - it is worth making a reservation. Friendly service. Highly recommend!
