Go for the view, stay for the cochinillo

We were lucky enough to appreciate the scenery while it snowed. It's a cold place, bring a jacket. The place is definitely worth the walk. I recommend their cochinillo asado and then ask for their local liquor and the local delicacy. You will not be disappointed.

We had a lunch at this restaurant during our short stay in Cuenca. The food was really tasty, wine was good and the service was impeccable. The daily menu was a bit pricey compared to other places, but it was worth it. Oh, and definitely get the table upstairs, the view is amazing from there.

I recently had a meal at the restaurant on the top floor of the casas colgadas. The view over the bridge and the Parador hotel was just beautiful. We asked for a table by the window. The food was good and the set menu included nice Spanish wine with each course. The portions were extremely generous!

These "hanging houses" are played by Cuenca as the town's star attraction. They are interesting, but did not seem to us to be really "hanging," They have windowed balconies on the exterior which protrude over the dramatic cliff on which the houses stand.

we were very disappointed to find after becoming excited about eating here that it was closed every tuesday and we were only travelling through that day. i had emailed the restaurant before arrival and they had confirmed booking!! however it does look rather amazing and i cannot comment about the food.

We were stayed at the Parador and had pre-booked dinner here for Sunday evening. It was raining as we left the parador and walked towards the metal bridge but the illuminated bridge, gorge and casas colgadas looked beautiful at night and made for a magical prelude to what was a lovely meal in a tasteful restaurant in the actual Casas... Wow! From the view to the service to the atmosphere to the food.... All five star. We got there when they opened at 9pm in December and got the best view table upstairs. Try the local wine, and order dessert after dinner and receive a special after dinner treat. The duck and cod are equally good!!

Enjoyed the menu of the day for lunch and it was great. Was able to be seated at lunch for four with a friend who only had reservations for 2. We only had about an hour and a half to eat on our tour, but the restaurant staff were great and had us back on time.

Its imposable to achieve great food and service add the outstanding views and you have one of the world’s best restaurants. Yet the world does not know it exists as it was very quiet and intimate on the three nights we ate at this astonishing restaurant. We were even allowed to walk around the balcony! The Suckling pig is a... More

We were having trouble navigating the Spanish cuisine until we ate at Meson Casas Colgadas. This is a beautiful restaurant in the most photographed hanging house in Cuenca. We both ordered the Bacala (Cod) and roasted vegetables. The quality and freshness of the fish was outstanding. The presentation of the food and services was first class. The overall cost of...
