Not sure what people see in this place, the food is average, the service is fine I suppose. We went twice during our stay as it was nearest to our apartment after long days travelling. The first time was ok, the second, on checking the bill we had been overcharged. We speak Spanish, I understand some Catalan, I like Iberian... More

Understand that this is not a restaurant intended for British tourists, in fact there aren't that many Brits in this part of Spain. Lots of locals come here, it's a grill place with a big menu of starters, grilled meat, a bit of fish, terrific aioli (sp?), and quirky cowboy themed decor, with the odd stuffed fox and old radios.... We had read the ratings and seemed pretty good and was not far to walk on our first night in Santa Margarida. The decor to the restaurant looked pretty good but unfotunately that was where it ended.I had a mixed grill with chips. The mixed grill was over cooked and extremely boring with the meat being tough the presentation was dismal. The seats... Plenty of seating inside or out, plus bar area. Menu is varied and interesting (hubby had pigs cheeks!!! Prices are reasonable, portions are plentyful and tasty. Do not expect 1st class service, it is more relaxed than that, but the staff are attentive enough. Good saturday night out. Happy to recommend.

Great atmosphere , great food and well priced. The best of our evenings out in Roses this year and should be high in the ratings. You can stay outside if it is a little close, or go inside to an air-conditioned area. Service is spot on . Highly recommended.

The owner's original vision still holds today, good, rustic Catalan food, well cooked, for a fair price. Now you can also enjoy the finest fillet steak as well without breaking the bank. The menu is varied, the staff are long serving. This is a true family business. Just try it - sure you will enjoy the experience.

A nice place with good waiters, the menu is quite basic but the place does what it says on the tin ! The prices have crept up over the years but the meat is always of a high standard ! Enjoy and take the family.

El Rancho has been around as long as I have been going to Roses - 40 years . The format is great and you can see the meats being BBQ'd if you go inside .My two teenage children loved the buzz as it started to get busier. The Gaspacho was lovely so was the alleoli ,the toast was rough and... More
