Exquisite

I've been coming to the Algarve for over 10 years. This is our second visit to Malveiro and it's easily our favourite restaurant. There are fancier places in Quinta Do Lago or Val de lobo (boring, over priced, tasteless and forgettable in my opinion), but honestly the restaurants in Almancil make... read more

A bit of a Portuguese / Mozambique fusion feel to it. Excellent food and service and friendly staff. Be prepared to go with this season's wine and you'll be just fine.

Malveiros is a bit off the beaten track, but well worth a visit. The food is always good and the proprietor and staff invariably friendly and welcoming. The vegetable cake starter and the king prawn curry are particularly delicious and there are other very tasty dishes on the menu, like the steak and the goat stew. The restaurant is reasonably... I have been going to Portugal every year for 8 years and always eat in Malveiro. The Kid Curry is my absolute favourite with the blue berry ice cream for desert. Lovely place, good atmosphere excellent staff.

Like every year for the last 15+ years, we've gone for a family dinner at the Malveiro. The food is always the same and always amazing. They serve the greatest shrimp curry and that's always my choice. My kids, since they were babies, always take the veal stew and this is something to die for. The meat melts in your... More

This restaurant is a bit different and it is great. It is just a little out of town and those that know go there including many Portuguese. fantastic if you need to eat late. It is quirky, quaint and has personaility. Food is fantastic - we mostly had surf and turf comes with roast potatoes and great value at around... More

Such a shame one of our favourites, still same good food and a warm welcome, the king prawn curry is amazing, but no rice came, after a while I asked our waitress, she glared at me, stomped off and returned with the rice banged it down. I did tell the owner, it was such a shame it left a poor... More

We love this place and the owner Lionel is charming - have been coming for 20 years and it has never let us down. Owner services excellent wine by the glass which is quite unusual and we have found many great new wines here as a change from our usual favourites. We highly recommend this place summer or winter for... More

Having visited Malveros many times over the last 10 years and it is always consistently good. So it was lovely to visit again on Friday after a couple of years to find everything as it was.Friendly welcoming owner and staff providing tasty local food. Their Green wine is a must!
