Description: This elegant yet cosy 40 seater bistro was recently bought by chef/patron, Jonnie Pratt. The emphasis is on the seasons and local availability. Everything possible is made fresh daily in the bistro, from pasta & bread to ice cream. This is a unique gourmet bistro experience. The wine list is compact, reasonable & full of surprises. Jonnies goal of Good Mood Food is very evident from start to finish. Try a pre-dinner signature like the bistropolitan and be amazed.

Ive been a few times and live in the area. The owner tries very hard but for me ..... This is the Algarve yet I feel that I am in a 1970's time warp with a microwave somewhere. For the devoted, they have their fans and remain true but to me this just does not cut it. They have now... More

We went on a Saturday evening and enjoyed the six course tasting menu for just €19.50. What great value and superb cooking. As this menu changes every week I will not describe what we had, except to say the courses consisted of bread, olives etc, soup, fish, a sorbet, a main course and a sweet. In our case the sweet... I went to this restaurant with a friend and had the Irish Supper Club menu on Monday. The food was delicious and could not fault anything. The added bonus is that they stock my favourite wine "Rocim" - a very tasty red and reasonable priced. The staff were very friendly. So pleased that my friend introduced me to this restaurant.... Chef Johnny really takes a pride in this small restaurant in a rather unprepossessing street in Almancil. He is a great chef, you get a warm welcome and the food is really good. It is not expensive for what you get and his wines are excellent and his advice worth taking.

I can be brief about this restaurant: go and enjoy !!! Great food, great staff, great atmosphere. Tiny downside: it is a little search (but worth it).

We had a good meal here. The food was artisan and beautifully cooked. The service was excellent. They are trying hard to create a fine dining experience and I think it works well, no complaints really. 150 Euro for a family of 4.

I have eaten in the Bistro on many ocassions, but my last visit was disappointing. Sopmething is missing, it was quite busy and had plenty of atmosphere, but the menu lacked "sparkle" and it was just ordinary. I didn't have a starter, as the only one that took my fancy, was not available. I ordered the chicken and couscous as... More
