Food: we had the 8 course tasting menu and it was amazing. Visually stunning, perfectly cooked, flavorful, enough components to keep things exciting but never distracted. Also important: the amount of food was just right. Wine: we got the wine pairing and discovered some very cool, new to us wines. The sommelier is very knowledgeable, approachable and down to earth.... More

Very good 2 star restaurant. The setting is average but the food is really really good (2 michelin stars, but in my opinion, this is open for discussion, it is better than a number of 3 star restaurants that I ate at). Very original dished and perfect presentation. Staff and the chef are very thoughtful and obliging. They immediately recognise... More

We had a good meal in this 2-star michelin restaurant but nothing truly memorable. We were here on a Thursday and the restaurant was almost empty. The service was ok but we had better in 2-star restaurants. In particular the wine serving that accompanied the menu was far from generous. With the first dishes we barely got half a glass.

When you go to these sort of restaurants you are paying for a critiquing the whole show, so a review has to be broken down. First, service: Great service, young, professional people- friendly, not snobby. Location: The hotel and its gardens are beautiful, although I did not care for the architecture of the restaurant itself (a modern annex to the... More

As Belgian people we do have our ideas about German food All those ideas were killed after visiting this restaurant. Food, wine (if there is 1 remark to be made: wine list is expsneive), atmosphere, service... everything goes beyond expectations. We took a "vegetable-only" menu and we have been surprised by the result. Extremely good food and we did not... More

We booked this place after turning down the competitor Vendome in a castle near buy. The reason was that Vendome wanted a 5 day cancellation notice and a no show fee of 150 Euro per person ( not a mistake) We enjoyed a perfect gourmet treat. We took the 4 courses "small lunch menu" and each planned and unplanned course... More

What does it take nowadays to get 3 stars? Some chefs obviously think they need to pack 10 different tastes and a food design of artistic levels into a tiny little appetizer. If successful, a dinner might be turned into an adventure for your palate. If not, the dining experience often becomes underwhelming. One of those is Gourmetrestaurant Lerbach. The... More

Gourmetrestaurant Lerbach lost his 3rd Michelin Star but it still deserves it. The Degustation Menu is great. Every dish is tasteful. Products are of very high quality. Service is perfect. The wine list is excellent and the sommelier is a true expert. As we booked 3 dinners at the Gourmetrestaurant Lerbach, the staff spontaneously proposed after our first dinner that... More

As part of an "event-package" - and staying at partner-hotel Bensberg - lunch was served at Nils Henkel's restaurant at Schloss Lerbach. My previous experience with a glorious dinner in this establishment, the lunch was not up to par with the dinner performance. Nice: yes, indeed. But the standard was clearly a bit lower. Without hesitation I can recommend a... More
