Wonderful hidden gem

My husband and I just left morans and I couldn't wait to brag on this place. We happen to pass a sign earlier and decided to give it a try on our long trip back to dublin. After driving we were a little concerned it might be closed. But to our surprise it was not only open but packed. We... read more

First off as I said in my title do not order a Bloody Mary in this restaurant because it is a trip back into nineteen seventies Ireland as what was produced when I ordered one was somewhat reminiscent of a place that had never heard of a Bloody Mary and I am not sure there was any vodka in the... I have been to this restaurant loads of times I only low everything in it from an old style restaurant to all the very nice staff who are always super helpful . I usually like the fantail prawns a lot but I have been known to have other things from the menu too . I loved it the first time... More

Great food and a seat by the fireplace on a cold April night - priceless. My very first experience sampling oysters - they were great. I did not have the stomach to try raw ones though, maybe next time. Lovely atmosphere!

We had the chowder and the mussels and both were amazing! The outside and the service were both first class. If you can after your meal head right along the road for 2 minutes walking and there is a beautiful secluded beach to just sit down and watch the world go by :)

This is an exception seafood restaurant on a country road overlooking Galway bay. It is outside of twon, 10 minute cab ride but well worth the taxi fare. A seventh generation family restaurant that is a must visit while in Galway. Thanks to John Morrissey of irelandtoursandtransfers.com for the great private tour of the cliffs of Moher and for turning... More

Fantastic setting for this classy eating place. Specialises in sea food but the meat dishes are also brilliant> Chips are exceptionally good. A bit pricey but worth every penny (or eurocent)

I have been here over the year's and it's nice but it's expensive. The staff are quite rude. I think they think just because this restaurant has been here for many year's that they can be rude because it is so well known. Well down the road in Kinvara there are many fantastic restaurants and Galway is only a stone's... More

Usually this is one of my favourite places to eat, but tonight I left feeling not quite as excited about the place. It was a great sunny evening, with plenty of people eating outside in the sun. On our way from Galway, we decided to call to out usual restaurant for a seafood plate. My usual 'Seafood Special' was almost... More
