Morans on the Wier is my guilty pleasure. Yes it can be expensive depending on your menu selection but you can choose your own price range as in most restaurants. The service is always friendly and efficient. The chowder is to die for. Mussels and oysters so fresh and bursting with flavour. My favourite is on the lite bites though,... More

I don't know how I had never come across of this restaurant or even heard of it before this but, better late than never! Myself and my boyfriend drove 20 mins in the wrong direction and out of our way to get here but, we are glad we did! Not only was the food delicious but the views and tranquil... More

The food was fantastic and the history of seven generations of the Moran family in the establishment was fascinating. It came through in the food :) Very glad I had the opportunity to sample their food. Highly recommend this place.

Ate here on a busy Friday night, the atmosphere was buzzing.I had the garlic crab claws which were unbelievably good and the seafood special for mains which was really fresh and tasty. All the girls were very happy with their food. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back for more!

Stumbled upon this place by accident (although it is quite well known and we were apparently oblivious) I grew up by the sea and love seafood. This place had simple but amazing food that you can truly believe has been passed down for generations (7 I believe). Wanting to sample a variety of fair we had their seasonal raw oysters... More

My Husband and I eat in the restaurant over the October bank holiday weekend. The vegetable soup was nice that I ordered.. nothing more... My husband ordered chowder,it was disgusting, greasy and flavorless. For the main course I ordered prawns in a sauce with chips and a side salad. The dish of prawns were in a tiny bowl.. not even... We have been to Morans a few times and absolutely love it! We have had a variety of foods there: mussels, crab, fish and chips and oysters. Everything is fantastic including the service and the atmosphere. Don't miss this one!

We were a group and we ate fish and chips with oysters and musles as starters. I liked the place and the service was perfect. We were at night so we didn't see the scenery around.

Always a treat toi stop in to Moran's for a delicious bite. Their seafood has always been top notch and the service great. Better get there early to avoid a wait or crowd. We try to pop in whenever travelling through Galway and just after lunch has always been a great time. Seating in the back addition is more roomier.
