Rock Salt is in the fine dining precinct of Quamby Place and stands well among a number of Noosa favourites in this complex. Under the leadership of Chef Stuart Webster, this friendly small restaurant has established itself quite a reputation. The riverside exposure and potential for outside dining in fine weather make this an ideal spot for the right occasion.... More

We have been aware of this Restaurant for a couple of years but paid our first visit only recently. Although small the restaurant is cosy and the food great with a good variety to choose from. For starters we shared the warm Turkish Bread with spicy tomato chutney and olive oil with aged balsamic.$9. My wife chose the Tempura Whiting... More

This is a great restaurant and their food is innovative and interesting. The Fries are to die for , extra crispy. Service and atmosphere really great, parking right outside the door, much easier than in Hastings Street.

Hidden in Quamby Place and a little lacking in views but food is exquisite. It is BYO only at reasonably priced $3.50 corkage. Service is of high class. I believe it is best to book however I was lucky to secure a table on short notice.

Recommendation by Staff @ Seahaven was well founded. Seafood dishes were VG indeed Grilled Snapper moist & flavoursome, Sri Lankan style fish curry very tasty indeed. Main courses $35. Corkage $3.50 pp. Staff very friendly & efficient. Full house, so a bit noisy but this should not be a disincentive.

Went there for dinner on a cold wet Noosa night (they all assured us the weather was unusual), so we didn't get to enjoy the river view. Nevertheless the friendly informative staff made up for it, we enjoyed a cuttlefish salad, a Sri Lankan curry and good old fish and chips (beautiful red emperor) Highly recommended for a high quality... Loved the idea of bringing my own wine to dinner (getting overcharged for wine in restaurants gets old fast). The food was delicious, everything was really well presented, waiters were great, and dessert (albeit unnescessary) was awesome (pudding) and big enough to share! Highly recommend! Make a reservation, it's a small place.

Practically hidden away in this little mall a little outside Noosa we came upon it almost by accident (luckily we were staying more or less across the road from it). Great chef producing fabulous food. Pleasant and friendly staff. BYO a bonus. Returned to eat there 2 days later just as they were closing up, but they treated us well,... More

Rock salt is one our all time favourite restaurants, we have been going for a number of years and it is consistently a great night. Good value and a quick cab ride from Noosa there and a pleasant walk back after dinner. The duck is a signature dish whilst he wagyu steak and Sri Lankan seafood curry other highlights. BYO... More

This smart little restaurant is byo only, corkage at 3.5 pp. Even on a Tuesday night it was packed, they were turning people away, so it's worth booking to make sure you get in. The food was delicious, fresh flavours, the Sri Lankan fish curry was a great dish. Service was prompt, attentive and friendly. Highly recommended.
