We have visited a few times over the years and it just keeps getting better! We had the 7course omakasse degustation and everything was so delicious and interesting. We are from Melbourne and I wish we had something like this restaurant at home. All the effort they go to by growing things on their own farm near by is impressive.... More

To conclude.. It was a ripoff ! Let's start with our arrival. We waited a few mins to be be welcomed. Finally asked by waiter with a bottle in his hand ... "Are you being helped? " Well obviously no! Short on staff? Then after landing at our table the lamp went out. Waitress said "oh I don't think we... More

The presentation of the food is exemplary and the service is very professional but in the end, the food was a bit disappointing. We were charged $25 for a glass of pretty ordinary French wine and $17 for a glass of Australian wine (both whites) but were disappointed. When you're charged that sort of money for a small glass of... More

Sat one table away from the window (booked late) but still a wonderful view out over the river. Ordered 3 courses each: sashimi, sushi, tuna tartar, tempura, soba noodles and lamb for $80 each. Our first time and the raw lived up to the expectation, especially snapper. Tempura light and flaky with a prawn for me-oyster for her and shared... More

My partner and I visited on a Sunday night for dinner we had the 3 course for $80 option. The servings were VERY small and to be fair I would say half the meals were delicious and the rest very underwhelming particularly the soba noodles. Service was prompt and efficient with food however staff were cold and unfriendly. I had... More

This was our third visit to Wasabi and yet again we enjoyed the food and the service. We decided to have the three course each option for $80, this gave us 6 courses to try between the two of us. The stand outs were the Kingfish Sashimi and the Lamb Belly dish. We then shared 2 desserts between the 2... More

Lovely setting. Very expensive. The food was very average as was the waitress. The lighting was dimmed/dark which made it hard to see the menu. There was no a la carte. The three course meal cost $80 which you were obliged to have. The spatchcock was tasteless and the wine by the glass the most expensive we have ever had... More

We were part of a group party at Wasabi and while the food itself was nicely presented and tasted beautiful, our 9 course set menu (at $154 a head) left us hungry. As another reviewer put it, "it's about $6 a mouthful". Including drinks the bill was $440 per couple. We all grabbed Maccas on the way home!

After reading a very good review in a food magazine, we decided to try it out ourselves on a recent trip to Noosa. We were very lucky to jag a table by the window overlooking the river at sunset. As there are lights underneath the restaurant shining onto the water we were entertained all night by big flathead ,whiting and even a... Came for part of a progressive lunch with the Noosa Long Weekend - sat at the rear so didn't appreciate the full ambience of the river. Normal comments are that "you pay a lot for a little" but in reality you are paying for one of Australia's better modern Japanese restaurants. Didn't actually enjoy the meal as much as the... More
