Description: Wasabi restaurant & bar, overhanging the scenic Noosa River, opposite the Noosa Recreation Reserve, is the brainchild of owner and Young Restaurateur of the Year Award recipient Danielle Gjestland. The entirely waterfront dining space has spectacular river views with amazing sunset vistas by day and a warm, contemporary, intimate dining space by night. Voted Queensland's #1 regional restaurant for the 2013 Good Food Guide, two chefs hats and listed in Gourmet Travellers top 100 restaurants , Wasabi's food has a contemporary sensibility that is still deep rooted in Japanese purity.

This is our 3rd time at Wasabi and each time has been superb. Prices are on the higher side but the quality of food and service makes the dining experience as good as it gets! I highly recommend you try this restaurant and if you read my reviews you should get the feeling that I mean what I say😄

We ordered the 5 course $95 degustation Menu (let the chef decide) Omakase menu. What a mistake. All in all a very disappointing experience. The five courses presented to us were all minute and totally lacking in any substance. Good presentation and description of each dish but three looked pretty but were tasteless and only the Tempura dish (which tasted... More

We visited as a group for a long leisurely Sunday lunch and were treated to some of Australia's finest Japanese food. Out table overlooked the exquisite scenery of Noosa River. Each of the nine course Omakase menu courses was served in differing bowls, plates or cups, all apparently hand made. Many of the ingredients were also from Wasabi's own hinterland... More

A wonderful high class experience shared with close friends. Enjoy the warm sake paired with divinely made dishes followed by exploding desserts.

I was with a group where we shared all our mains. Some of the dishes required the addition of extra items (tempura prawns) so the six in our group all could all try. Each dish was excellent in its own little way, the freshly grated Wasabi was actually quite mild when compared with processed versions. The service was very professional... More

Wasabi is expensive but it is exceptional in every quality that makes a first class restaurant - service, ambience, presentation, menu, choice of drinks and the food itself. The dishes and the varied selection of plates, bowls and other tableware are works of art and the taste of the contents deliciously unusual yet distinctly Japanese. We enjoyed a shallow bowl... More

We had an "on the morning of" booking by phone, for an evening dinner. We had been to this restaurant three years previously. On that occasion, we were seated in the private dining room. The private dining room is a lovely quiet, comfortable space, but since there were only three people in our party, it would have been more pleasant... More

Wasabi richly deserves all its awards. it is a very stylish restaurant with a beautiful ambience situated on the lovely Noosa River. From the hand crafted china,to the superb service,it can't be faulted. We are not lovers of raw fish, but there is plenty on offer for philistines like us. The california rolls are delicious as is the boned stuffed spatchcock.... More

Fantastic Japanese food. Excellent service. Worth visiting Noosa just to dine here. Expensive but a very high standard. Much better than Nobu in Melbourne, better than Sake in Sydney. A real surprise. Only small issue was slightly noisy due to large booking in raised tatami mat area.
