Description: Wasabi restaurant & bar, overhanging the scenic Noosa River, opposite the Noosa Recreation Reserve, is the brainchild of owner and Young Restaurateur of the Year Award recipient Danielle Gjestland. The entirely waterfront dining space has spectacular river views with amazing sunset vistas by day and a warm, contemporary, intimate dining space by night. Voted Queensland's #1 regional restaurant for the 2013 Good Food Guide, two chefs hats and listed in Gourmet Travellers top 100 restaurants , Wasabi's food has a contemporary sensibility that is still deep rooted in Japanese purity.

Excellent meal, beautifully presented and the wine matching was perfect. Would definitely recommend to anyone. The service was also first class.

We paid $100 each for dinner, two of us had wine the third person at our table did not, but I am really unable to say if this was good value, as I have no lasting impression of the food, wine or service. The table directly behind us -some 12 screeching self-absorbed sociopaths - was so loud that any dining... More

The 7 course degustation is a must if you have the time, Wasabi is exceptionally creative with their favour combinations and each and every item on the plate is exceptional and distinguished, the presentation and quality is flawless. At the beginning we were entirely sure we would still be hungry at the conclusion as the dishes were small by any... More

Wasabi sits above all restaurants in Noosa. Well above. The Noosa restaurant scene is definitely no foodie's slum. Food, service and ambience are all excellent in the established restaurants. But Wasabi is just exceptional. Just go.

Great food, great service. The food potion is on the small side but that is what fine dinner is all about. In fact Japanese food is about eating healthy and fresh, not filling you up. Wife is very much into fine diner, she was very impressed by the food presentation and ideas. Recommend.

This was an experience in dining - from the welcome to the carefully crafted menu, this was exceptional. The staff were well versed in all things Japanese - from helping us to select the right number of courses through to the choice of saki. It's expensive, but this is not just any restaurant and every course showed there was an... More

My mum and I booked a table during the Queens Birthday weekend on a recommendation from a work colleague & friend to visit Wasabi. My boyfriend and I had recently been to Japan and were lucky enough to get a booking at the famous Sukiyabashi Jiro- so after this experience I thought that nothing would be able to beat it.... More

So glad you enjoyed everything and thank you for the lovely complements. I travel to Japan twice a year and while I have also been to Sukiyabashi Jiro and have enjoyed his excellent sushi. If you happen to be in Tokyo again, my favourite place is Shintaro. The address is 8-4-7 Ginza. Its the Mori Building on level B1. Across... More

Have heard about it several times and thought t was about time to give it a try due to a special occasion. I believe it was the 9 course menu I went for and it didn't disappoint. The food was very well presented and the flavours were fantastic. I also ordered several cocktails which were different from your run of... More
