Very impressed

Had an old favourite , pork belly & was enjoyably surprised at what arrived. Looked the same as expected, bit disappointed when tapped and wasn't hard & couldn't see the apple. Was surprised and still haven't worked out what was going on. Crackle tasted firm and crackly but delightfully & easily... read more

Came for a group lunch after being recommended. Food was good - although waited one hour for entree and another hour for mains. Pork was fatty but delicious, pasta was tasty but needed garnish to stop it being entirely beige. Great view, beautiful location, sarcastic wait staff which was not appreciated and customer clearly doesn't come first. Better wait staff... More

We haven't eaten here for a couple of years but decided to come for a visit as we had a friend visiting us for the long weekend. The menu had been revamped and was sensational! We had the share plate, duck liver pate and the chicken fettuccine. So much food and so delicious. One of the things I love about... More

The dining area is small and perhaps a little worn looking, but it has a lovely view out over the field and river. We ordered the pork belly and goat fettuccine and were impressed by the quick service, good taste and good meal size. The pork belly is worth coming back for, and the cellar door also has a good... Good wines, beautiful setting, lots of room for kids to run and explore. Platters were delicious as was the coffee. Go for a long lunch, you won't be disappointed.

we chose to dine here after reading reviews that they were dog friendly. We arrived with our friends and their dog and our two retrievers - all similar size. The reception we received was very unwelcoming and we were advised very clearly no dogs - the waitress didn't even crack a smile. We were shown a tree to tie them... More

Thanks for your review and apologies for the delay in our responce. The Easter school holidays are the busiest time of the year for HRE and Easter Sunday, when you arrived, we were fully booked and turning tables to accommodate walk-in patrons. All of our staff are casual and gave up family and religous traditions to work so that we... More

We enjoyed an amazing lunch where all meals served were delicious, including pork belly, goat sausage & feta fettuccine, Chardonnay soup, entree platters & kids meals. Plenty of room for the kids to run, play & explore under our watchful eyes from the table. Add to this, friendly service & yummy wines and overall it was a fantastic experience. Enough... More

We went here for lunch while staying in Pemberton. It was moderately busy but service was good and they found us a table in the shade but with a breeze as it was a hot day. The setting is lovely overlooking the water with the vines on the hill opposite. The menu is good but we ordered the daily special... More

We stumbled onto this little restaurant on the way home from swimming in the Big Brook Dam. The food and service was excellent, all provided in a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. My daughter particularily loved the tram carriage that our table was situated in.
