Being lovers of Indian cuisine my husband and I decided to get Indian take away for our anniversary (dining in no longer being an option with 2 kiddies under 2). It was quite expensive, serving sizes were small, rice was undercooked, both curries were not very nice at all, Garlic naan was hard and chewy, customer service was poor (if... More

Collected a takeaway, efptos doesn't work so make sure you take cash,Onion bhazi's were in edible, they tasted like they had been prepared some weeks before, likewise the pappadums were stale, the Lamb Korma was up there with the worst I've had, tried them at each of the 3 locations they have traded, each one has got worse, wont be... Bizarre experience. Very strange onion bhajis, paneer with 'divine' chefs sauce seemed to be tinned tomato soup, mushrooms and peas curry in a bucket and straight from the tin, peshwari naan seemed to have egg in it rather than dried fruit ... And the only other customers were eating their takeaway from the paper bag. If you are going for... More

Tasty food with a wide range of dishes to select from. Easy parking for either a takeaway or dine eat experience.

Tandoori was red chicken pieces with pepper for spice. Curry was in and out within 45 minutes. It is not a reasonable price and would be a waste of your money.

This restaurant has a new site over the old bridge so beware if you book on line because although the website now has a correct address the booking on line agent did not have nor sites like "YourRestuarants".Thay are also are no longer BYO although they did honour our bottle. No doubt this will change soon. The new restaurant has... More

The menu was comprehensive, the food excellent, the service great and the cost competitive. What more could you want? I understand the restaurant is moving to larger premises in the near future due to popular demand.

What a surprise this was. Restaurant is only small but still cosy and comfortable. The staff were very polite and friendly. But the food was the star of the night. Every dish we had was exceptionally good and we felt very well priced. All in all a great meal in a cosy restaurant without breaking the budget.

At our local Indian restaurant, one of our servers had commented that there was good Indian food to be had in Australia and New Zealand. On the first leg of our trip, for our first night out we decided on Gates to India....what a mistake! I have had Tandoori chicken in a lot of Indian restaurants, but I can say... More

My wife and I went to Gates of India after some friends recommended it as we love Indian food so we thought we would try it out. The staff were friendly and attentive. We have spent some time in India over the years and it was a pleasure to find traditional Indian food tucked away on the cafe strip of... More
