I haven't eaten at The Earl for along time because the last time I went it was truly a nightmare. But, with new owners and good reviews on this site I thought I'd give it another go, and boy am I glad I did! We had a table of 6 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed there meals. The service was friendly... More

The Earl is a nice looking pub but the standard of the food is different every time I go there. It is always expensive, sometimes the food is alright and sometimes it's way below average. It has been many years since The Earl has been reliable.

We visited this pub on our last trip and liked it so much we visited again this time. It is a lovely pub in an Old English/Irish style with cosy wood fires and hearty food. We had the Beef and Guinness pie which was tasty and very filling! Service was friendly and efficient. Will definitely go there again

Great little historic pub. Generous dishes for hungry patrons. Nice friendly Staff. Fast service. Welcoming open fire, could easily settle in for a few hours if we hadn't been so tired after a long day of travelling. Food hit the spot.

Great atmosphere, great food, good wine and beer - and terrific live music on weekends! Since it is always very busy, one should consider reserving if you want to make sure you you get a table - especially on weekends!

check out the pork trio and Somersby cider. Short walk from accommodation, watch out for Albany's deep gutters

Having been to the Earl on another occasion and being pretty disappointed in the food, we decided to give it another go during our recent stay. The atmosphere and warmth of the Earl is very welcoming and it is such a cosy place. We had a few pints and ordered waayyyyy too much food, but it was a huge improvement... More

Read the reviews on here so decided to give it a try and we weren't disappointed. We arrived at ten minutes before the kitchen closed, but that wasn't any issue. We ordered and had our meals in the table in fifteen minutes. The wife ordered the pork trio (sausage, belly and loin chop). She says it was the best pork... More

Great decor, service, food and value. I ordered lamb shank. I got two, and very large. Kids menu is excellent. Oysters great. Wine list very good. Highly recommended.

This place is lovely! Seems to attract the Irish and English and has that sort of feel to it. The meals were delicious and priced reasonably. Would be great on a cold winter night...
