About 55 of us went to the White Star for Xmas luncheon. They were very prompt with taking the orders and bringing the meals out. The food was very good. When one lady took the wrong dish, they quickly produced another for the lady whose meal was missed and happily did so despite the fact it was not their fault.... More

My dad & I ate at the white star after it being recommended by our motel staff & we were not disappointed. There is a pub at the front & a restaurant to the rear. The only negative point was that we were sat under the speaker & the music was a little loud. Service & food was very good... More

The White Star Hotel is a pub with a bit of history and while the interior of the front section of the hotel needs a coat of paint it's worth a visit. There is a good choice of meals which are substantial, tasty and are reasonably priced.

at last a great pub in Albany that caters for the 21st centaury. Great beer, good food and great service. This is what casual eating out is all about and with food priced at the same as a greasy take away then you cant go wrong. We were in Albany for the ANZAC celebration and the staff and kitchen was... We had a beer and meal each at lunch time which was great with excellent service and being able to sit outside in Stirling Terrace right in the thick of it on the ANZAC weekend.

The White Star is a pub as well as a restaurant. It has a friendly atmosphere. I frequent the restaurant often as it is my favourite in town. They have recently changed the menu so I felt compelled to try it out. I had the lamb rack. It was sensational and cooked to perfection. My friend had the Chicken Saltimbocca... More

My husband and I ate at the White Star on Friday night and it was a brand new menu. Everything was great. I had a generous serve of pistachio crumbed cheese. It was perfectly crisply and oozing when cut. Steve had 3 natural Albany oysters (they are small but he said in flavour they would be at the top of... More

We were looking for a place to have an evening meal on a Monday night. Albany meal venues seem to be few and far between (unless your into fast foods) on this night of the week so local hotels seemed to be the go. I found the front bar area to be uninviting and not well furnished. Out the back... More

We had a chicken parmi and steak sandwich on a recent evening meal at the White Star and the food was very good. Service was good and there is a good selection of beer. Enjoyed it and we'll be back.
