Luncheon Delight

A rare treat and magnificent Ploughman's feast that appealed to our tastebuds, and wish we had previously known about their holiday rentals.

Thank you for taking time to review us. We are thrilled that you enjoyed the experience, even if we were busier than we would perhaps have liked to be. Hopefully, you may also get the opportunity to call again and enjoy both the accommodation and our fairly unique dining! Again, many thanks for your comments. More

Cross the threshold of this pre-federation cottage for a step back in time in olde Ireland. Eat outside if you possibly can, it's absolutely delightful! What a great place for brunch with friends. Cats and a rastafarian dog greet guests sedately and water trickles in the background as you sit amid ancient plant species in a secret garden. Come relaxed... More

Thank you for taking time out to review us. Firstly, I note that perhaps our service may not have been as good as 'we' would have expected to achieve and will work on that. Having said that, we are delighted with the comments you have made as we can continue to grow the business based on this type of information.... More

Wow. Had the Faulty Towers experience. Sat down at a courtyard table that had been vacated but cups etc not removed. Effectively told by the male owner that we were a nuisance as table had not been cleared. Bazar form of customer welcome. I am sure this guy would be fine in business if he did not have to deal... I can only say that at this time of year, we are incredibly busy. I acknowledge your comment regarding bad manners, however, for people to not wait to be seated and just to just sit down at a table that is dirty and has dirty dishes, makes it almost impossible to clear and could also be considered rude. Yes, because... More

Saw these tea rooms advertised in the local tourist brochure, so decided to stop for lunch on our way through Port Fairy. Not in the centre of town, but on the highway, so easy to access. Was worth the stop - friendly service and lovely food. Sat in the lovely courtyard, seating also available inside. Yum!

Ok so I didn't know they were gone as this was my first visit... but if you've been wanting to go and haven't had the chance... DO! What a quaint little tea room, cosy and inviting. A very warm welcome by staff and I enjoyed a nice little chat (as I was having afternoon tea on my own). I enjoyed... More

Thank you for taking the time to review us. I am not quite sure when you visited us as we have been closed since the 6th May. I would certainly like to apologise for the apparent 'coolness'. I realise that this is no excuse but we had been running under some personal stress due to a death in the family.... More

Delicious cream tea - plain and salted caramel scones were delicious, so was the tea. Wonderful little cottage too. Highly recommend a visit.

My family ate a delicious lunch at this very quaint cottage. The lunch- we tried bangers and mash, salmon cakes and Cornish pastie were terrific. We saved room for their famous scones equally impressive! Yum.
