Great English Pub!

Came across this stunning pub on a Sunday drive with my partner and 1 yr old. Great location and outdoor area. Service was pretty average, food was slow (not good with a 1 yr old) and the barman was more interested in talking to the locals drinking at the bar. Apart from that the food was nice and... read more

Good old pub grub and a decent pint. Great atmosphere, indoor and outdoor. Bookings welcome, plenty of parking, plenty of green space for the kids to run around.

We have been coming to this pub for decades,as the outside area is as nice as you wilĺ find anywhere.Food is good value, but service can be very slow, especially Sunday lunch. The kitchen is closed from 2.30 to 5.30 as well, so better to go early. Choice of beer is terrific. Most of them are brewed on the premises.

The surroundings were beautiful, smokers section to close to the doors, if you dont smoke, you have to go further away from the pub and restaurant, we were sitting out in the sun someone sits close and lights up, we had to move, right away from the servery and bar just to get a smoke free space. Even though we were... More

A group of three of us visited today for lunch. The "hard" product - building, location, accessibility are all good. The pub has a traditional feel, a wide range of food and beers, it definitely mirrors a British pub, and differs only in that it is cleaner and has a wider selection of choice than a British pub. The "soft"... More

Visited on 23 March 2015. Table for four people booked for 18:30. Our meals were served at 19:45. The food served was very poor quality. the staff just could not care less. We witnessed other guests leaving before eating, because of a dispute with staff. Our 5 week stay in Austalia was about to end. This was by far our... More

Great location. Great food and great people. Had fun listening to Hog Hill Boys who played some good old Irish music.

Wanted to take our daughter and family for lunch in the hills. There was no greeting or advise as to how to order. We were left at the table waiting. Finally went to counter and told had to order there, ok. Requested children's meals first, alas they arrived ten minutes after the adults. Overall very bad service, actually none! Not... More
