This used to be one of our favourite haunts, however it has changed hands and you constantly have to wait a LONG time for a meal. Yep, even when it is quiet.. We once waited three hours only to be told that they were no longer serving.. Was not happy to say the least. Steaks sandwich was... read more

Have been going to this pub for a number of years now, but on last visit charged $28 for a mediocre wine, and house wine, (paint stripper) at $19, in future will give this place a miss!

We went for a Sunday lunch with family. The meals were good, nothing special but the wait was crazy. Appreciate it was busy but an hour?

We had our wedding and reception here, set in the wooded hills of Bedfordshire. There is a "village green" area outside the tavern, which is surrounded by tall trees and also contains a large gazebo. The reception was held in the hall above the main restaurant, which can seat up to about 60 people and contains a bar and dance... More

Food was ok. My fiancé'a meal was disappointing size wise the kids meals were larger , but mine was delicious and just enough. I liked the outdoor area as did the kids great trees.

Came across this stunning pub on a Sunday drive with my partner and 1 yr old. Great location and outdoor area. Service was pretty average, food was slow (not good with a 1 yr old) and the barman was more interested in talking to the locals drinking at the bar. Apart from that the food was nice and the atmosphere... More

Good old pub grub and a decent pint. Great atmosphere, indoor and outdoor. Bookings welcome, plenty of parking, plenty of green space for the kids to run around.

We have been coming to this pub for decades,as the outside area is as nice as you wilĺ find anywhere.Food is good value, but service can be very slow, especially Sunday lunch. The kitchen is closed from 2.30 to 5.30 as well, so better to go early. Choice of beer is terrific. Most of them are brewed on the premises.

The surroundings were beautiful, smokers section to close to the doors, if you dont smoke, you have to go further away from the pub and restaurant, we were sitting out in the sun someone sits close and lights up, we had to move, right away from the servery and bar just to get a smoke free space. Even though we were... More

A group of three of us visited today for lunch. The "hard" product - building, location, accessibility are all good. The pub has a traditional feel, a wide range of food and beers, it definitely mirrors a British pub, and differs only in that it is cleaner and has a wider selection of choice than a British pub. The "soft"... More
