We ate here while staying at the Grand Pacific which is just across the road. Restaurant is simple, plainly furnished but you do not come to eat the chairs and tables. We had a well served meal of local fish and seafood. Good quality, but pricey as you are in a very touristy area. Having said that we were well... More

There are two Lorne pier restaurants listed on trip advisor where in life, there's actually one! It's called Lorne Pier Seafood Restaurant. Pretty shocked with some of bad reviews here but my experience here was the opposite. I came for a dinner on my last night at Lorne & thank God I decided to try their restaurant. First of all,... Came for a dinner on my last night at Lorne & thank God I decided to try their restaurant. First of all, the location is beautiful, near Lorne pier. The atmosphere & setting of the restaurant was just nice too! Now the food.. I ordered paella ala pier & I received a free bread with butter which was pleasant. But... More

I am not one to generally review any place so poorly as sometimes business have their off nights. However, be aware, don't get sucked into the beautiful outlook and the illusion of fresh seafood at this restaurant. We thought this restaurant would provide a quint essential feel, however we were highly mistaken. The food is absolute overpriced rubbish. The snapper... More

I loved the food. The paella was so yummy and tasty. The meal sizes are really generous. The service was really plesant. It was also nice to see the cefe's doing their thing in the step up kitchen. It adds a really great atmosphese to the night.

Comes with a big reputation alongside Lorne pier which is s beautiful setting. I think the food is OK but not great, the prices are pretty expensive, service is fine and setting just great. Have been here a few times, the specials are the same year after year, and the menu is limited to say the least. It needs a... More

View is great but for this kind of food really overpriced. Instead of going into detail here are some suggestions: -Replace broken furniture and plates etc. -Use fresh herbs instead of dried once -For a $40 dish serve rosemary potatoes from oven instead of french fries -For a restaurant with those high prices dress less casual and be more helpful... I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The owner of this restaurant has no clue what customer service is. He can't even notify his staff when the kitchen is closed or when they are out of food. All he can do is yell at the customers and act like a total jerk!!! I was very disappointed with this place. From... More

We arrived with our friends at about 8:30pm on Sunday. Were told that there would be a one hour wait although there was a table available outside but we would need to come back at 9:30. It was fine with us so we sat and waited just outside, Went in at 9:30, got seated next to the table that was... More

We went to The Pier restaurant on Sunday night (10th March, 2013). Our group comprised two families - 4 adults and four children. Whilst we did not have a booking, we were shown to a table within 10 minutes by the very friendly owner. The staff (mostly tourists from Germany) were attentive and took our orders. We ordered by 8... More
