GOOD FOOD AND SERVICE

We stopped for lunch at 3.00 on a very crowded day in late December. This restaurant was one of the least busy in Lorne. The menu was limited but it had an extensive wine and beer list. The seafood linguine was really good - plenty of prawns, mussels and scallops with a well-seasoned liquor and... read more

Loved this restaurant. Although I ordered two entrees there was plenty and I thoroughly enjoyed both dishes.

OK, so a member of the waitstaff went home “ill” in the middle of the evening (so we were told). So when all but one of our table's meals arrived, who took responsibility for following up the missing order? No-one, apparently. It wasn't until one of our group stood up and asked about the missing meal that the omission appeared... More

Nice location and decor. The seafood linguine was excellent but lamb was only OK. The coffin bay oysters were average, may be try them naturale rather than Kilpatrick. Kids pasta was very good and drinks reasonably priced. A part from a slight hiccup with the order, the service was a little on the slow side (40 mins) for half full... More

Usted to be a nice and elegant restaurant, we felt like we went to a macas for dinner except for the prices. We booked to get a nice table, the waitress took hours to figured out which table was it, they received us with ugly plastics shiny flowers, expensive plates no even as good as used to be, no good... Stopped by Lorne after leaving Apollo Bay. Lorne will be a more interesting stretch to hangout n stay. Too bad that we didn't have the chance to. This place offers fresh ale on the tap. It has great ambience n decor is simple yet classy. Would love to come back for a proper meal.

We were staying in Lorne for a few nights and decided to give the Maple a Tree a try for dinner. They were not at all busy but gave us a table well into the restaurant which was gloomy and had a great view of the bins behind the bar - no issue when we asked to move, but not... More

We recently enjoyed a fabulous meal here with friends, all were impressed:) The staff were well versed on specials and attention to details. The wine list was great with a fair range of prices. Beers were a little more pricey and they were boutique style so the boys didn't like that too well so they opted for mixed drinks. Décor was... More

Have visited Maple Tree many times over the past few years during our family trips to Lorne. Best dinner restaurant in Lorne for sure, and I honestly think it keeps getting better each time we go. Nice classics for the kids, plus some more off the beaten path options for adults. Great great beer selection as well, with a few... More
