Lovely food and view is great. Outdoor seating has plastic "curtains" and heating in cooler months. Very limited indoor seating though- but then you don't really want to sit inside if you come to dine alongside the river bank? We went on a Sunday and there seems to be a lack of staff. But service was still good.

On a beautiful Melbourne spring Monday morning we decided to wander down to Yarra Bend Park to check out the colony of Fruit Bats near the Bellbird Picnic area carpark. Having located the colony of bats, suspended in the huge gum trees like some kind of exotic seed pods, just a minutes walk from the carpark, we decided to move... More

My fiance received a gift voucher for here and this has won me over as a return customer. We attended on a Sunday, set menu. Each of us received the several entree items, selected 1 main each and received all the dessert items. I've never had a 3 course meal where i couldn't fault anything. The gnocchi was simply the... As a family we have visited this restaurant at least once a month over the past 5 years, and find it improves with new innovations constantly. The owner takes on suggestions I make such as changing the menu every Sunday, so that regulars can experience a different menu at each visit. I also suggested for that extra taste to mash... More

We didn't really have a huge meal so it's a bit tough to rate the quality of the food. However, this restaurant/cafe is really pleasant. If weather is nice, this place is a great idea to spend an afternoon. Have a coffee and then try out the boat ride. This is why Melbourne is such a great place for living.

Very disappointed with the $9.50 Devonshire tea ( coffee option) from the Cafe. The caffeine hit was sadly lacking, v weak & milky for a flat white & the scones tasted like yesterday's reheated. It is such a beautiful spot but it must have been a bad day - I hope....

We ate in the restaurant with a pre-set menu for eight people. My main meal of Chicken fillet and caesar salad was ok but the cheesecake for dessert was one of the best I've ever tasted. It was so good I ate too much of it, feeling a little queasy later. We had a good selection of cakes provided for... More

My husband and I went here for lunch a few weeks ago for our 2nd wedding anniversary. It was a wonderful experience. The staff were so lovely and attentive. They made us feel like we were the only people in the restaurant. The food was so yummy, a bit pricey but so delicious for a special occasion the price was... More
