We lived in Melbourne for a long time but never got around to visiting Studley Park Boathouse, what a mistake. It is in the most beautiful, peaceful location, right on the Yarra River, not far from the city. There is no traffic noise and easy to access. You can walk or ride along the river for a long way. The... More

Popped in for a coffee and a snack today. Great location and friendly, well drilled staff. Ordered a cappuccino, iced chocolate and a pizza. The coffee was excellent, iced choc, Ok. The pizza was more like a flat bread roll with a basil leaf on it. $14.50 forget it. Drinks and food were too slow for a very basic item.... More

This review should be more about the boathouse/café rather than the Yarra Bend Park which is under another heading but no worries, just do a '2 in 1' You can eat, spend a lazy day reading (byo blankie), chatting under the shady trees, go boating ($45 per hr hire is not cheap !) or byo canoe (if you got one... We wanted a special place for a long, languid, lunch of long rambling conversation and laughter on a Sunday afternoon. We had an important family member from the UK and the setting had to be right. Studley Park Boathouse Cafe did us proud! The cafe offers location, location, location! The views over the Yarra with people in rowing boats and... More

This is a hidden gem, tucked away in bushland on the Yarra its a lovely spot for a snack or lunch on the deck. Only 15 or so minutes from the CBD you would think you were miles away. On a warm summers day l cant think of a nicer place to get away from the hustle of the city.... More

Summer holidays coming to an end. Back to work on Monday. Last lunch out for us before work starts again for another year. Sunny day. Where else would you be. Studley Park café. Shared two entrees & some sparkling mineral water on the deck watching the world go by. Fabulous. Food great atmosphere brilliant. Amusing side show of boat rowers,... More

Lovely food and view is great. Outdoor seating has plastic "curtains" and heating in cooler months. Very limited indoor seating though- but then you don't really want to sit inside if you come to dine alongside the river bank? We went on a Sunday and there seems to be a lack of staff. But service was still good.

On a beautiful Melbourne spring Monday morning we decided to wander down to Yarra Bend Park to check out the colony of Fruit Bats near the Bellbird Picnic area carpark. Having located the colony of bats, suspended in the huge gum trees like some kind of exotic seed pods, just a minutes walk from the carpark, we decided to move... More

My fiance received a gift voucher for here and this has won me over as a return customer. We attended on a Sunday, set menu. Each of us received the several entree items, selected 1 main each and received all the dessert items. I've never had a 3 course meal where i couldn't fault anything. The gnocchi was simply the... As a family we have visited this restaurant at least once a month over the past 5 years, and find it improves with new innovations constantly. The owner takes on suggestions I make such as changing the menu every Sunday, so that regulars can experience a different menu at each visit. I also suggested for that extra taste to mash... More
