Affordable and quaint. A lovely place to visit

This has an affordable menu, catering for all. We were happy to find a choice of kid-friendly hot food to help warm us up on a brisk Melbourne day. The kids enjoyed feeding the ducks and being able to kick a footy around nearby Yarra Bend Park.

Been to all three options. Kiosk - order and take your meal to a table by the river. Choices or rolls, paninis, burgers etc. Average to above average prices with not that great food. Cafe - further on from the kiosk (upstairs) with balcony tables as well as indoor dining. More casual option to the restaurant but table service from... More

studley park boathouse is in one of the most idyllic settings on the yarra, but beware of the kiosk food! ham & cheese croissant is the safest bet but wanting to try something different, we ordered a chicken and bacon burger with fries. for $18.95, we got a dry burger with chicken that tasted like sawdust and fries no better.... We ate in the cafe on the balcony overlooking the river. The menu has enough choices to suit most, we enjoyed each dish we ordered. Our waitress Sally was efficient and friendly. I recommend booking as many walkins were turned away.

Arrived 1230 for a family lunch who were visiting from overseas, to treat them to something special after holidaying with us in Melbourne for 6weeks. We did not get our food until 2pm!, which was not only cold but 2 meals were ready the other 2 were not! Even though we arrived 1230 they had run out of options on... More

There are actually three dining options here, The Kiosk, The Cafe and The Restaurant. The kiosk is takeaway food, plastic cutlery etc. The Cafe has laminated tables, plastic chairs on a balcony overlooking the river, or seating indoors. Table service. The restaurant is tables with linen, silver service etc. The prices escalate according to each option. We tried the Cafe on... More

One should come away overawed by the beauty of the location and enamoured of the simple quality of the food and the ambience of the restaurant. Tick 1 for the location - but no ticks after that. Yes, the food was that bad and poorly presented. Over-cooked would be a compliment. No, I can't go on. Hope someone shakes the... More

We had a family birthday party with about 40 guests on a Sunday. We booked the verandah and had it to ourselves. We had drinks in another room and the service was good. The three course menu gave an excellent choice, with a separate children's menu. The service was really good and quick. One good touch was the children's meals... More

This café is in a gorgeous location for a pleasant lunch. There is seating inside (back from the river), at the side under cover, or outside on a verandah facing the river. You need to book if you want to ensure the latter. The food is good but not sensational and the prices are reasonable but not cheap. The attraction... More
