Always Hits the Mark

I have not been here for a couple of years which is entirely my own fault, but recently took some international visitors for lunch en route to the airport. Why?.... because it leaves them with something nice to remember. The varied menu is, in the main, reasonably priced and a glass of wine slips... read more

Despite what it says on sites like weekend notes they do not allow dogs in the outdoor area - staff let us sit there with a dirty table and no menus for ages and only spoke to us when they wanted to tell us the dog wasn't allowed in alfresco. Rude. Bad service. Waste of time coming here.

Certainly an iconic place in Melbourne and well loved by all walks of life. A popular place, so I would recommend to book. It is a little on the pricy side. Despite that, the vanilla slice is well worth it. If you can bike ride there it is great as there are some great trails to enjoy along the Yarra... More

We had an amazing wedding reception for 60 people. The venue was beautiful with the backdrop of the river and the old boathouse. The finger food was delicious, the wines were great and the staff could not be more helpful. All in all I highly recommend you have a function here!

Chose Studley Park Boathouse Cafe for a relaxing walk and coffee on the first day of our relatives visiting from UK...thought was ideal remedy for their jet lag. Had checked ahead to see what time the cafe was open until... got back in plenty of time for a coffee... told it was closed well ahead of closing time by very... More

On good weather this establishment offers top value for a casual lunch. While an outside table is preferable, it's not essential. The staff is extremely pleasant and helpful and can explain the extended menu well. All dishes tried were good ... and the sweets were absolutely not complementary to a strict diet!!!! The wine list was very adequate.

after having booked on line for a lunch with family, arrived at venue to find booking had not been received. However staff at the venue were wonderful in that they turned a potentially terrible experience into a very positive one. within minutes they were able to accommodate our group of 6 with a few menu changes as the lunch was... We visited the Boathouse cafe on a cool winter day but the sun was shining so made for a pleasant afternoon. The food was good but a limited menu and for a cafe a little expensive. Initial service was very good but once our waitress finished her shift it went backward. A nice outlook over the river but very noisy... More

This has an affordable menu, catering for all. We were happy to find a choice of kid-friendly hot food to help warm us up on a brisk Melbourne day. The kids enjoyed feeding the ducks and being able to kick a footy around nearby Yarra Bend Park.
