This used to be a great cafe with good food and service, not sure what has happened but now very poor menu and wine selection and food below average, the only thing it has going for it is the location but that is not enough to entice me back again

Whilst the view and location is great the rest you can get at your local shopping centre. Breakfast variety was very limited and as another reviewer said something from the 80's. The staff lacked any skill in hospitality and must have been the latest crop of backpackers from o/s looking for a job. The thing that separates business is the... More

We went with friends last week. Very busy but I've no idea why. So basic, & not worth the drive. The food was very very average, there are many places you could choice far better with a lot better views.

Can be a bit hard to find. However, the baothouse is like something from the 20's. Cafe and you can sit outside under the trees. Row boats for hire which makes for a rimantic time

The rural setting of this restaurant is charming and the lovely staff helped me settled in nicely and ready for the 2 course lunch! Food is great and modern and worth every penny paid!

For Mental Health Carers week we were treated to a three course lunch at the Boathouse amongst the trees and beside the river. Beautiful setting and sitting in the covered balcony on a warm day what more could you want. Food very good, entrée was okay but main and dessert were very good. Finished off with a brewed coffee. Some... More

Freshly squeezed orange juice for starters! What a difference to some packaged versions! Well squeezed! Fruit toast and muesli turned up together, with the milk for the muesli arriving later, as I was tucking into the toast. Must say the homey with the muesli was delicious! I'm having chai latte as I come to terms with the phone's keyboard wondering... More

Ideal for lunch with friends or colleagues or to take visitors to Melbourne - quite a varied menu offering of local specialties with a varied wine list to match, some great desserts and high class service all while you sit amongst the greenery of Studley Park and watch the Yarra flow gently by - first class.

We lived in Melbourne for a long time but never got around to visiting Studley Park Boathouse, what a mistake. It is in the most beautiful, peaceful location, right on the Yarra River, not far from the city. There is no traffic noise and easy to access. You can walk or ride along the river for a long way. The... More

Popped in for a coffee and a snack today. Great location and friendly, well drilled staff. Ordered a cappuccino, iced chocolate and a pizza. The coffee was excellent, iced choc, Ok. The pizza was more like a flat bread roll with a basil leaf on it. $14.50 forget it. Drinks and food were too slow for a very basic item.... More
