Beautiful food, excellent service

Recommended by a local when we were sightseeing. While looking like a basic hotel restaurant from the outside, the atmosphere once you walked in the door was anything but. Warm, cosy atmosphere. Warm friendly staff. Lovely well presented food. Good variety of different ciders as well. We had a... read more

We visited the pub/restaurant during a Penguin visit. They have a couple of self brewed beers with where nice but the food was expensive and average in taste.

It was ok nothing special maybe for the Island this is a great place but if was in Melbourne prices would have to match the menu selection. Food was good could have a better selection pretty much a hotel style choice of meals I would return the ambience was great and the service exceptional.

Four of us enjoyed a warm and cosy evening meal at Rusty Waters sitting beside their lovely log heater. Our platter of a loaf of hot fresh dark malt bread with dukkah, oils and balsamic was a simple but tasty starter to our mains of lamb shank, beef pie, rib eye with garlic butter and pork were all tasty, well... went for a function so there was a few of us. I found the food very expensive - small serves leaving most of us wanting more. Had a dessert to share with my husband and I have never seen such a small serve and priced at $12. Too expensive to return

Very pleased staff were able to accommodate us with a table even though we had not booked! We were seated at the entrance which has the plus of being a little quieter and if you are an AFL fan you are also able to view whatever game is being played - in summer it's the cricket. My husband loves the... More

The Rusty Water Brewery offered a great experience from start to finish. Friendly & attentive wait staff. Highchairs are available as well as pencils for the colouring picture on the back of the kids menu. A big bonus for us as it kept our daughter busy! Kids meals are quite large which is good but just a bit big for... More

What massive meals ! I had the lamb shank with vegetables and it just melted in my mouth. Really must try the beer tasting paddle as it has some unique brews. Staff were very welcoming and service was fast.

The beer was excellent, and the food very good for a tour dinner. We had a limited choice menu, being on a tour, but both selections we chose were very tasty (I had the beef pie, and my wife the salmon) and well presented. The restaurant was about half full on a Friday night, with some quite pleasant live music.... More
