Forgot to book, didn't think Monday night would be busy, unfortunately Monday night is 2 for 1 night for members. We waited 30 minutes for a table, then another 40 minutes for the food to arrive, but it was worth the wait, my vegetables where fresh and delicious, the schnitzel seemed like it had been made that day, my wife's... The fact that this bistro is always busy it testament to its success. The staff are friendly and courteous, there is a good menu and the meals are always a good size and most enjoyable. Have been coming here for years and another quality is the consistency of delivery, always a good meal and while often busy the service is... More

Have been here hundreds of times and always found it okay. This time we went for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the vegetable pide. It was oily but the fillings were nice. The salad was okay, but the dressing wasn't the best and there were too many grated carrots. Recommended for a quick lunch or dinner.

Great to receive feedback from a regular customer and good to read that you enjoyed the vegetarian pide for lunch. Next time, you'll have to try our new Ploughman's Lunch - I've passed on your feedback regarding the carrots to the chef. Look forward to seeing you again soon Elise. More

I am sorry, but I cannot help but agree with some of the comments made by other local residents and Members of the Phillip Island RSL that they are not cared for. As far as we know NO other restaraunt on the Island charges a 1% fee for the use of a credit card purchase of meals. We use the... More

--just cancelled our booking and we find it no advantage to be a member. we were booking the 2 for 1 Monday but told because it is a public holiday it was not available also neither was the Seniors menu . . Also we believe that there is a 10% surcharge for public holidays plus 1% every day for paying... More

Thank you for your feedback. We value our Members and offer substantial savings right throughout the year apart from public holidays. This is because we have to pay staff hefty public holiday penalty rates which impact on our not for profit business. We would not be able to offer the subsidised Member discounts if it were not for the summer... More

We had a lovely old-fashioned corned beef described as Gippsland Natural Corned Beef with seeded mustard cream & vegetables. The corned beef was delicious - tender and not overly salty and the vegetables lovely and fresh and not over-cooked. Lovely grass fed beef I thought then the kid's menu should also be focussed on good food as well. The kid's... More

Thank you for your feedback after your recent visit to the Lone Pine Bistro. The corned beef is certainly a favourite with many of our patrons. The Children's menu has several healthy options to choose from apart from chicken nuggets. Perhaps next time, the kids may prefer a Kids Roast which comes with roast meat, vegies and gravy. More

We ate here on 18th April 2014 for Dinner, 2 x adults and one child of 12. The Atmosphere was ok, a bit boring eatng hall, I ordered three meals, being 2 x steak meals and one seafood pasta meal, and it cost us $118.00 ! I asked if that was right to which the girl said it was $38.00... More

Thank you for choosing to dine with us over Easter and thanx for your feedback re prices. Good Friday being a public holiday attracts a surcharge of 10 per cent on all food and beverage which many restaurants in this area apply. We were happy to read that you enjoyed your meal and hope to see you again soon. More

Super slow service when ordering, need a way to speed up the line. The food coming out was over 45 minutes for a soggy schnitzel and chips. The actual meal was really bland. The desserts were equally awful: someone teach the cook how to make meringue!! Grainy gritty meringue: just horrid. The choc jaffa dessert was dry and hard and... More

Our bistro was very busy over the school holidays and Easter period and slight delays can be experienced. Our chefs have been advised about the meringue quality who will discuss with our supplier. Thank u for bringing this to our attention. More

If I was a returning serviceman I would consider a second tour before taking on the RSL at Phillip Island. Between the bogans and misfits the food was substandard and the service laughable. The bar staff seem to have been trained in anything but bar work. The front of house staff seem to have been chosen on their looks instead... More
