I now read that Cyrano Restaurant is closed. The memories that I have of the multiple meals here that I have eaten and tasted from my partner's plate also, will be with me forever. Truly a great French dining experience, created with love. One night, we were last in, and last to be served. She asked us if we wanted... More

Had fantastic meals in the past but the owner has now retired so one of the best dining experiences on the East coast is no more

Alas fellow foodies, it appears that Cyrano has now closed. As a frequent visitor over many years I thought it appropriate to recap on one of Tasmania's great dining experiences. Cyrano was, for the most part, a one person operation serving freshly prepared food in the classic French bistro style. Oysters at Cyrano were always freshly shucked (they should NEVER... More

My husband and I eat here whenever we visit the east coast of Tasmania. We have both eaten French cuisine around the world including Paris and the owner/chef ( who to be honest can be a bit cantankerous) is right up there with some of the best. Yes the service is slow and you will wait a long time for... More

The restaurant placed in a great place and the atmosphere is nice. The food is brilliant and delicious. The wines that we got were wonderful and special. Our total opinion about the restaurant is that it's realy good and recommended for everyone!!! Enjoy.

I have eaten here at least 10 times over the years, and travelled from Hobart on 3 occasions on a Saturday to stay the night in Bicheno, just to enjoy the food.. I have eaten in French resaurants all over the world and the food here is second to none and better than anything I have found in Hobart, Melbourne... More

I came with friends, prepared for a relaxed night of dining. True, if you're in a hurry this is probably not the place to go as everything is cooked from scratch, but good food is worth waiting for! We had a variety of entrees and mains, the duck a l'orange and herbed rack of lamb were amazing. Desserts of crepes... More

All 6 of us loved this restaurant. We each enjoyed what we had chosen, which was prepared from scratch by Christiane, who came to check how we had enjoyed it afterwards. It was a quiet night, so we had wonderful service, and superb food. Maybe when busy it may become slow, as no corners are cut in food preparation! Totally... More

The review title says it all. Only quibble was that Cyrano is unlicensed. Regular patrons would know, but in a tourist town such as Bicheno there are always many who would expect such a great place to be licensed.
