We ordered the seafood pack and kids pack at the Sandbar kiosk as takeaway. Crossed the road and sat at one of the many tables overlooking the beautiful beach. The seafood was cooked to perfection. Beautifully lightly battered and no greasy residue on your hands and fingers. Chips were a standout too. Prices are expensive so we paid over $40... More

Good value for money, conveniently situated and tasty food. Like that it's casual, walk in walk out, no booking needed and that the service was relatively fast.

Believe it or not, not all of the coastal Queensland fish and chip bars sell barramundi from the locals. In fact, some I asked, had no idea where their barramundi came from. But I digress, we bought our Australian Barra and chips and some whiting from this kiosk and took it across the road to eat. There are plentiful picnic... More

Great little spot over looking the water. Friendly service. Food delivered quickly. Freshly squeezed juices would make this a fantastic spot for Breakfast. All in all great breakfast and coffee.

With Bulcock Beach across the road providing plenty of seating, the tradition of fish and chips at the beach is alive and well. Great food, big menu, and prices are a tad expensive. We liked it and will definitely be back.

Best fish and chips in Caloundra. Great view overlooking the ocean, quick service and beautiful food. Went back 3 times during our visit!

We had lunch on one day and came back for breakfast the next. The service is very good and the staff are very friendly and courteous and efficient. The food was very good and generously proportioned. The setting and the view is excellent. We would definitely recommend the Sandbar for casual dining in Caloundra.

Nice setting with a view of the sea, very tasty meals all nicely presented. We had lunch here on the first day of our holiday and about a week later returned for an evening meal. Both times we had different wait staff and all of them were delightful. Overall we were very happy the meals and service.

One of the many great things about the Sunshine Coast is the seafood, including the good old humble fish and chips. But we dropped in to Sandbar early afternoon to get some take away and were very disappointed. The service was friendly and helpful, the chips were cooked nicely, but the snapper was overcooked, tasteless and definitely not fresh. At... More
