A little gem in Randwick

We have dined at this restaurant for years and it never disappoints. We especially love the whitebait fritters and the stays are to die for! Served on little grills, these juicy skewers are Indonesia on a plate! The sauce is sweet, nutty and light, not laden with peanut butter and coconut cream... read more

Food is delicious and well-prepared. Quality is the same each time we go, which is very good. Food is tasty and fresh, all the different dishes taste authentically indonesian.

This was our second visit to this Indonesian cafe and it won't be our last. The food is delightful and the people very accommodating. There is a tendency just to think Thai in Sydney when going out for a cheap eat but there are so many other alternatives.Jimbaran is one of them

I went here with my family for a birthday celebration, and the food/customer experience was of less than average quality. Food portions were small and too salty. Attendant short changed us $10. Would not go there again.

We were a party of four for dinner on a Wednesday night and it was a shame that the restaurant was quite empty. Service was very good and our food was excellent. We had a selection of dishes to share with the standout favourite being the grilled whole snapper served with special Jimbaran chilli. Other great choices were a seafood... More

Service was super friendly yet not intrusive. We loved the Bandeng duri lunak- twice cooked milkfish. The fish was stewed till the bones are soft like sardine then deep fried. If you've never tried it, I highly recommend it. There were plenty of other choices from their extensive menu. The Anugerah grilled chicken was little on the dry side but... More

Met friends for dinner here, my first experience was on booking over the phone (recorded message). Very efficient, they returned my call promptly to confirm my booking. Arrived 20 mins earlier than we had booked for, no problem, our table was waiting for us. The staff were pleasant and efficient. The food came quickly and it was enjoyable. The Beef... More

A very cosy and simple place that offers delicious food for a reasonable price. It's a Recipe for success! One of the best Indonesian food I've had so far.

It's always good to see Indonesians dining in an indonesian restaurant. Love the chicken sate, we are back tomorrow night for more! Waitstaff kindly gave me a cushion for the dreadfully uncomfortable wooden chair. It was Satuday night and there were several parties in. Didn't affect the service or speed of delivery of food. BYO, which always helps!

Jimbaran is always good for the food, very nice - service great. however they pack so many people into the small area that you simply cannot hear anything. We ate our food quick and departed as quick. Sorry but this is not the restaurant to come to Fri/Sat night if you want to chat with your friends or your partner.
