Understated elegance

We expected the nicest restaurant at this lovely 4.5 star resort to be a bit more special than this was. The decor was quite plain, understated. Nothing special. No view. The service and the food were good, but not overwhelming. I had the steak, which was very good, tho a bit too rare (I asked... read more

After meetings in Sydney's outskirts we didn't feel like leaving Fairmont resort for a meal so dined downstairs at the Eucalypt. This was a pleasant surprise. Crisp white linen tablecloths, well setout glasses etc. The young waiter was attentive and skilled in service which is rare these days. Its a pleasure to see someone who has taken the effort to... My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful degustation dinner with matching wines a Eucalypt Restaurant at the Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains on New Years Eve. Amazing service, food and wines. Great value at $175pp. Can't wait to go back again to experience some more fine dining at this restaurant now that the resort has a new Executive Chef. Highly recommended.

setting was nice food average but costs very very expensive. A family dinner will not get you a lot of change from $200!!!. cant understand why they charge so much for an average meal

A birthday weekend saw me up in the misty Blue Mountains on a Saturday night. We left Sudney in the sun, we met torrential storms ion the M4 around Penrith, then the temperature dropped and we ascended up into the misty mountains looking out for stray hobbits! On arrival at the Fairmont Resort, the lights twinkled in the mist and... More

Great menu all flavors worked only disappointment was that there were small children in the restaurant when it was marketed as fine dining. I also have children who are 10 and 14 however they were toddlers running around and screaming!

Pretty good here. Nice ambience and fast enough service. Waiter got our whole order right from memory - well done! Beef and lamb cooked perfectly. Oysters 3 of 6 were gritty. Drinks good but selection limited. Worth a visit if staying onsite but not really worth going out of the way for since parking is a nightmare and there is... More

Attended dinner: Atmosphere not the best. It is in the lower level 'basement type' with no view. Not the kind of atmosphere you would choose to be in. This Resturant should trade places with Embers upstairs. Service 3/5. Accommodating with us having a pram suggesting the best area to be seated but gave us the choice. More the fine dinning... More

Clean set up with nice low light for romantic dinner, friendly polite staffs, lovely foods...especially " roast duck with beet root & tomato risotto " yummy. Can't wait to go back again on our next holidays.
