I used to eat here regularly before it changed hands and decided to drop by during the day with a friend for a coffee outside. The younger staff were friendly enough but this was off set by the repugnant older man who I assume is the head waiter. First he looked me up and down dissaprovingly, then he overcharged me... More

We loved this restaurant, chef used to work for Silk in Leura. Wonderful musician plays romantic French tunes on both the piano and piano accordion whilst you enjoy your meal. Monique the owner is lovely and has a very interesting background. Food was truly superb.

My husband & I were planning to eat at The Rooster for our wedding anniversary but because childcare arrangements fell through the last minute, we had to bring our 2 children as well. There wasn't any kids menu & we will not going to pay $40 for a meal each for the kids & they were fussy eaters as well... More

extremely poor service, the head waiter was extremely rude. Left the total dining experience with a nasty taste in our mouths. Food was amazing, but, would not ever recommend this place.

We were also on the same trip as one of the other recent reviewers and unfortunately have to relay the same experience. Service was terribly slow and it was about 15 mins after being seated at our table (by the tour guide rather than the waitress I might add) that we were offered drinks. The food when it came was... We came as members of a Boutique Activity Tours visit to the Blue Mountains and had been promised a very French experience. Well, the decor and ambience and staff were very French enough but ... The service was lamentably slow and despite the food actually tasting very good in all respects, the portions were risibly, indeed embarrassingly small, and when... More

Absolutely perfect! Great food, great service and great wine. Thank you for a fantastic NYE dinner and the young French waiter was amazing. He did a fantastic job. Thank you for a great evening. Will definitely return

We went to The Rooster twice late 2015, most recently on 30 December. Both times the food was excellent. On 30 December I had an asparagus pastry dish followed by duck. I enjoyed both, but the asparugs was outstanding. My 2 companions enjoyed their meals also, though one was a bit disappointed when it was not possible to flambee her... More

It has been a long time since I had been to the Rooster. 4 of us dined there last night and had a fabulous evening of the best of French cooking, superb wines and friendly and professional service. Violin and accordion live in the bar. Wonderful French ambience. Unhurried dining in a "not noisy" but quiet atmosphere. Thank you Irwan... More
