we have been visiting this restaurant for years - was great food but new owners! went for our 25th anniversary dinner and was very disapointed! my husbands entree of mushrooms and kindey was the only good thing but the rest was was very average to say the least - my prawn and avocado was just that and the prawns were... Over priced, waited about 1/2 hour for a bottle of wine, think they had to go to the bottle shop to get it. Received meals that we hadn't ordered and the room that we were was freezing. Asked them to turn the heating on but nothing happened. I had the duck which was beautiful and hubby had the scallops which... More

We had a "surprise" 60th birthday party for my husband last weekend. We booked all four rooms as we had all the family staying for the celebrations. The accommodation, meals and service were all top class. I cannot praise Ross and his staff enough for all the hard work they put into making our stay a very happy one. All... More

We went to the Roster for the first time this week and we were agreeably surprised by the freshly renovated venue as well as the breath taking view of the Blue Mountains. We ordered few dishes like snails and the salamis plate. The snails were devine in their garlic and butter sauce, as for the salamis plate it was just... More

We came here to celebrate both our birthdays. This was a mistake. The menus are completely in French for some reason? Even if they tell you what a dish is, you still want to read and understand the descriptions!! We were given the worst table and my chair was literally under the maître d stand. It was very drafty. I... More

The restaurant has been renovated with new bar and new toilet. We had main course and dessert only. The eye fillet is delicious but the Scallops with endive is more like an entree meal. Dessert creme brulee is delicious.

Came across this restaurant whilst driving around admiring the views. Great in every aspect, food, wine, service and atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Would recommend to others travellers and would definitely return for seconds.

A third return stay under the new owners Ross and Monique both very helpful and went out of their way to accommodate us. Restaurant refurbish is commendable and in summer it will be great for breakfast and lunch. Full hot Breakfast was absolutely wonderful with the best fresh squeezed orange juice and hot coffee. We had dinner on both nights... More

We dined at The Rooster last week. First time we have been to this restaurant so I had an open mind & I hadn't done any research. The menu selection was good, the wine list extensive (a bit expensive) but I managed to do some tasting of an opened bottle - and it was good so ordered a French Style... More
