Finally ate at New Shanghai in Chatswood, heard lots of good things about it . the big question is it worht the wait . my view is not really, the food was good and resonably priced but the time it takes (45 minutes) to get a seat outways the the rest of the experience. There are many good quality chinese... More

We came here with my family and they knew exactly what to order : ) We had the jelly fish, garlicky green beans, the pan fried dumplings & the dumplings with the broth inside, fried rice & fried noodle with xo sauce. All was so good. YUM YUM YUM & was very, very reasonable. Making me hungry just writing about... More

Very popular with a queue to get in on a Saturday. We were lucky and went in as they opened at 11 but the restaurant was full 10 min later. Service was a bit slow to get the order but the food arrived in an orderly pace. We ordered 4 dim sum dishes but there are many other choices. The... More

We love this restaurant - love the dumplings and love the noodles. Great value for money too. The Chatswood Chase branch has a lovely feel to it, like being back in the old Chinese shophouses. But if you're not too concerned for decor, go to the branch in Lemon Grove (also in Chatswood) as the food is the same, just... More

I went there with my hubby for lunch. We ordered 3 dishes: a kailan oyster sauce, pork dumplings and fried rice. Everything was delicious and the portions were really big. I'll come again for sure!

This is on the lower ground floor in Chatswood Chase. A fabulous meal of wontons & dumpings! I like no 221 with the chiili oil & spices. Ii has a lot to offer - it;'s not all wontons. But they are great! You can even watch them make them behind glass. You know it's freshly made! It's really busy at... More

Great menu selection for quick bite and good value but the long waiting on queue is not welcome for quick in and out.

Can't get enough of soup-filled dumplings and chopped gelatinous rice noodles with shredded duck? Well, this is the we dragged our weary bodies to for inspiration and the pick-me-up of Shanghai style cuisine. The decor is lovely and perfectly reflects a snapshot of the city's life. the yum-cha beauties rolled their wonderfully aromatic goodies to our table, with the deep-fried blue... More

A very good restaurant serving up authentic shanghainese cuisine that is decently priced and well flavoured. Dishes to go for are their dumplings, soup noodles and chicken dishes.

We ordered three dishes (dumplings, pork buns and a pork, vegetable and noodle dish). Waited 20 minutes and needed to ask several staff members to take our order. After the order was taken we needed to ask twice for water. Received two dishes however the third (dumplings) was another 20 minutes (and two requests) behind the first two. When it... More
