- the waitress could not communicate properly in both English and Thai (she is Thai btw) - 'double chilies' indicate the dish is spicy. i don't think i saw anything hotter than double but the dishes were not spicy at all - got charged more than $20 for rice for party of 7. - ordered a barramundi for $29.90. being... If I was blindfolded and asked what cuisine I was eating I would have gone for Chinese - very poor Chinese. Forget this restaurant and dine anywhere else instead.

The food was good though a bit over-priced. The rice arrived in cold bowls, the dinner plates were cold and the main dishes arrived in cold dishes. This meant that everything was pretty cooled when only half eaten. I have never had a Thai meal where all the crockery is cold. Not good enough.

Nice food, bit out of the way but we enjoyed our meals. Not super hot so recommend to go one of the medium curries.

A bit overpriced for what you've got as a meal compare to other thai restaurant. I've eaten in thai restaurant all over the world, including Thailand and can clearly say that it wasn't authentic thai food. A bit disappointed.

Didn't enjoy. Very over priced and the food was horrible and non authentic. The calamari I order was pretty much just batter and no squid inside. Pad Thai had way too much sauce and wasn't traditional delicious pad Thai.

We held high hopes for Spicy Thai as its only Thai cuisine competitor in the near region is very average, to say the least. Airlie Beach has a wide range of choice and we were disappointed. Our score was 3.5. The restaurant has seen better days - from the colour scheme it may have been a seafood or tropical theme... More

We've eaten at this restaurant in the past and has been excellent but something has happened in the meanwhile and the standard of the food was almost uneatable, way to oily that the aftertaste you couldn't get rid of, when we have a meal this bad we won't try it again for 1 year before giving them another go, this... We saw a take away menu (which was reasonably priced) and went there on a Friday night and found the the place was empty. Having presented the menu the dine in prices were almost double the takeaway prices. The host was friendly but there were a few communication difficulties. Food was good but definitely overpriced given the the place didn't... More
