Wonderful Palapa Restaurant since 1982 with a pebble floor, mayan sculptures, waterfalls, hammocks, exotic birds, a peaceful garden with a fantastic jungle setting. Excellent Seafood, Authentic Mexican and Yucatecan Cuisine. World Famous "Lalo's Special", a dish made with fresh shrimp, lobster, calmer, fish and chicken fajitas is Superb. The ceviche made of fresh fish, shrimp, lobster, octopuss and lemon is also exceptional. The most relaxing place to laze in a hammock after a delicious feast.

We've been to Oscar y Lalo's several times and the food and service are always fantastic. This last time we enjoyed the prawns with mango salsa, burrito Santa Fe and grilled fish. Everything tasted so fresh ans thoughtfully prepared. The sangria is delicious. The service is always considerate and attentive. Special thanks to Virginia who treats the guests like family.

The food is just no good, it is a 15min drive, the location is nothing special and neither the service, expensive for what you get. I wouldn't recommend it.

After seeing signs every mile or so, we decided to go to this restaurant. We went ~ 6 in the evening - BIG mistake. There were a zillion mosquitoes attacking. The staff was very sweet & gave us bug spray and lit candles, but was very uncomfortable. The food was ok. I had a steak which was quite good. We... More

My husband and I traveled to the Riviera Maya February 2nd-7th. We ate at Oscar and Lalos two times, both while touring with Riviera Adventours. We had a great time! We sat with a couple the first time that we had been touring with and had the Chicken Quesadillas, they were light and filling, and tasted amazing. The second time... More

Not what it used to be when Oscar ran the place. The new family owners, just don't quite cut it! Overpriced even for a fancy beach bar! Food not particularly great either. When we were there the seaweed on their end of the beach made swimming almost impossible, not their fault. But when you are looking for a beach bar... More

A week or so later we did return...and must to our distain it was NOT at all what we expected. We walked in and were greeted by a very friendly hostess, she... More

The other couple where we shared the B & B with took us along to Oscar & Lalo. It was Valentine's so the place was busy. Of course there is an appetizer to carry us over to the main course. I had chicken enchiladas and cheese cake for dessert. Everything was excellent. We got there around dusk when the pesky... More

From the appetizer to the desert the food is absolutely amazing. Victoria made suggestions and they were all a huge hit. You must try the Ceviche combo and finish your meal with the three milk cake. The expierenence was highlight of my dining in Mexico. A must try.
