After a stroll through Arrowtown I chose Postmasters to eat lunch. I sat outside on the veranda in the sun. I was dining alone which I don't do often but my other half was off skydiving and I didn't want to waste the day. The staff made me feel very welcome. I was comfortable eating quietly and watching the world... More

We had just had the most enjoyable walk around Arrowtown and saw the sunny deck wrapped around this old villa. The outdoor chairs are padded and there were blankets for knees on this chilly morning. Inside a fire was going and there are plenty of windows to sit in and watch the town. We had a lovely hot toddy of... More

The food here is the top of the class. It is a great mix between casual atmosphere, reasonable pricing, yet fine dining dinner experience. Service goes hand in hand with the whole concept and is very attentive and welcoming. If you go, definitely try the venison dish (just melts away in your mouth) and winter crumble with home made ice... More

I am not usually one to write reviews about restaurants but this deserved a mention - had the mushroom papardelle with truffle oil. It was an expensive pasta dish as far as pasta dishes go, but it was worth every penny and i didn't want it to end! And I have been to Italy! Pasta was cooked to perfection and... More

Arrowtown is an old small town. The Post Office becomes a restaurant called Postmaster's. The ambient is cozy, old style, the food is nice. Especially the Green Lipped Mussels. Best I ever eat mussels.

Totally enjoyed sitting on the front porch with the snow around us eating fresh scones and drinking beautiful hot lemon, honey & ginger drink.

We ate here for lunch. We ate mushroom pasta, chicken hotpot and salmon on salad. The winter fruit crumble was to die for! We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and service was fabulous. My first ever review I felt compelled to write! Bravo

It was a terrible wet day when we popped in here for breakfast. The fire was roaring hot, very pleasant. Friendly, knowledgable service -very tasty breakfast menu featuring some delicious local ingredients. Awesome value, highly recommended.

We stumbled into Postmaster's on a rainy day for an early dinner. Postmaster's exceeded our expectations; we sampled excellent fresh local produce on the starter sharing platter with local wine and devoured the fruit crumble with cinnamon ice cream in about 2-minutes-flat. We found the experience more enjoyable than many of the top-rated restaurants in the Queenstown area; fresh and... More
