The New Orleans has a lot of potntial to be a great pub and eatery. However it gives the impression of being poorly kept and unclean. The menus are splattered with food, the tables and chairs are not always clean, and the floor and the carpet look like a good clean wouldn't go amiss. A coat of paint and some... More

Typical Pub Meal. Good size serving. Eating by the open fire is nice. Staff not overly friendly which surprises me because there must be a high number of tourist visit this pub. A bit more of a welcoming would go a long way.,

We dropped in as we were hoping for a pub meal - they had a large group booked for dinner but managed to find us a table at the back. We had to get up and find our own menus after being left at the table while they continued to set up for the main group. After finding the small... More

Hi, Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. Could you possible elaborate on who served you ( Female, male age,) in a PM I would be very grateful. We did have a busy function in on Tuesday, however there were enough staff to ensure our other guests received good service. If you are still in the area,... More

Had brunch in front of the big fire watching the replay of Brazil playing Columbia. I love the smell of an open fire and the warm atmosphere it creates. The food was nice and good value

Very disappointed in the food here! It's the only place I do not recommend to my customers. I ordered the chicken and it tasted like frozen and heated up in a microwave... The place it's self is nice and the staff were nice, just not the food. Walk a little past and you'll see the fork and tap, well worth... More

I sometimes wander in just to have a coffee (great coffee too by the way!) and often then sit down to lunch...a good selection...pub meals but good...love the whitebait buttys! Pricing is good...the fire was on and great squishy sofas in front of it...fab! Another time I took my wee nephew (4) and he was happy sitting there and enjoyed... More

New Orleans Hotel is a strange name for a hotel in Arrowtown, but the world’s a funny place, hey? I ordered three meals; Oysters; New Orleans Pork Roast and Pan Seared Fish with salad & chips, and I took two ales to the table to wait. The guy taking the order was looking a little flustered and my complicated order... More

After a lovely weekend spent in Queenstown on way home travelled to Arrowtown for breakfast. The New Orleans is great - very cold frosty morning but the blazing fire and welcoming faces warmed us up. The Omelette was amazing with so many filling choices to choose from. My husband had the big breakfast which he said was great. Have also... More

Four of us stopped at Arrowtown to have a look around and get a bite to eat. Being a chilly day we decided that the New Orleans Hotel ticked all the boxes and looked so inviting that we just had to try it. The atmosphere was lovely and the beautiful leather lounge suite by the large roaring fire was beckoning... More

We stopped at the New Orleans Hotel for lunch. The atmosphere is fantastic, big fire roaring in the centre of the room and large comfortable couches to sit on. It was cold and bleak outside but warm and cosy inside. The staff were friendly and accommodating, drinks well priced and an extensive menu on offer. We chose to share a... More
