Dropped in at 12.30pm for Sunday lunch, attracted by the "Seafood Specials" on the board outside. Mussels please? Sorry, all out of those. Would you like oysters instead, you can have 3 for $18? Walked out. How can you have none of one of your specials at the beginning of lunch service?

Arrowtown is spectacular. This restaurant is not. It has no atmosphere and the food is ordinary and expensive. It has a great name and potential. The staff seemed bored. Luckily Arrowtown has so many better spots

We have just finished dinner here after a lengthy wait, despite a lack of diners. Almost all meals (blue cod, ribs etc) were overpriced with the fish being very dry and literally just a piece of fish! The roast seems OK and a bit cheaper although not served hot. We will not be returning, there are plenty of better priced,... More

We always come here for a quick lunch or dinner when visiting the area. You cannot beat the service and food. Everyone is friendly. We love sitting out on the balcony looking at lovely scenery of the mountains. A very peaceful outlook. The menu is extensive so something for everyone. Their seafood chowder is to die for!

Our family lobbied in after a big morning of Luge and bungy in Qtown, glad to see such a selection of fresh food. We had roast pork, blue cod, and hamburgers... All fabulous. I ordered my favourite NZ dish, whitebait butie in fresh bread... Loveee this classic dish. Staff are fabulous and very obliging... Dont miss this gem of a... More

We had not intended to visit Arrowtown so had not prepared ourselves for lunch by looking at TA before we travelled. This large hotel had a decent varied menu and was busy at lunch time, with a patio at the back, so we tried it. Orders are taken at the bar and the young lady was very pleasant, although not... This restaurant and bar looked as if it were from the 1800s. Warm and inviting, great fun for friends. The food was good but not outstanding and the price was reasonable.

We came in as a large group including 3 kids under 5. You have to go to the bar to order which can cause a delay in receiving food in a larger group. As a group we order a few garlic loaves to start which were nice. For mains we ordered a range of food, great portion sizes. I had... More
