Had higher expectations for this than we got, poor/no service as we had to find our own tables and menus, then after asking a waitress returning from giving food were told we need to order at the bar, the older lady at the bar was friendly and took our order, the adult meals were good but slightly pricey but the... We were there for dinner in the Fall, so there was a fire blazing in the fireplace. Tables were crowded together, service not the fastest or friendliest. Never learned why it was called New Orleans Hotel--nothing there is remotely similar to the New Orleans I know, especially the food. My steak was so tough I couldn't cut it with the... More

Had high expectations for the new Orleans hotel, given that it is in my favourite little place in the country,it was sadly very disappointing,we ordered the rack of ribs, another huge favoute of ours, they came out tough ,and instead of having classic sticky bbq sauce they were coated in nastygravy.yuk.it was expensive and disappointing, thats it really,i wouldnt recommend it atall.it was dull... We spent a rainy 4 hours in the pub, watching a replay of a World Cup game and had a bite to eat as well. People were friendly, food was good, and the beer was great. It had a good atmosphere and although the decor is not flashy it presented as a good clean typical pub.

The New Orleans has a lot of potntial to be a great pub and eatery. However it gives the impression of being poorly kept and unclean. The menus are splattered with food, the tables and chairs are not always clean, and the floor and the carpet look like a good clean wouldn't go amiss. A coat of paint and some... More

Typical Pub Meal. Good size serving. Eating by the open fire is nice. Staff not overly friendly which surprises me because there must be a high number of tourist visit this pub. A bit more of a welcoming would go a long way.,

We dropped in as we were hoping for a pub meal - they had a large group booked for dinner but managed to find us a table at the back. We had to get up and find our own menus after being left at the table while they continued to set up for the main group. After finding the small... More

Hi, Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. Could you possible elaborate on who served you ( Female, male age,) in a PM I would be very grateful. We did have a busy function in on Tuesday, however there were enough staff to ensure our other guests received good service. If you are still in the area,... More

Had brunch in front of the big fire watching the replay of Brazil playing Columbia. I love the smell of an open fire and the warm atmosphere it creates. The food was nice and good value

Very disappointed in the food here! It's the only place I do not recommend to my customers. I ordered the chicken and it tasted like frozen and heated up in a microwave... The place it's self is nice and the staff were nice, just not the food. Walk a little past and you'll see the fork and tap, well worth... More

I sometimes wander in just to have a coffee (great coffee too by the way!) and often then sit down to lunch...a good selection...pub meals but good...love the whitebait buttys! Pricing is good...the fire was on and great squishy sofas in front of it...fab! Another time I took my wee nephew (4) and he was happy sitting there and enjoyed... More
