Lovely, very friendly. A little expensive but the food was fantastic, especially the burger! The staff are very helpful - good service, and even offered us a lift back to the campsite in the rain!

We came here for lunch with my 93 yr old Mother for an "outing". We have been here a few times before and always enjoyed it. Lovely outside seating in a courtyard tho this visit the wind was a little chilly for Mother. Very friendly staff..a great menu. Mother wanted a small portion which often doesn't happen. They were great... More

We used Batcombe once more as our favourite stop off en route to Cornwall and once again we weren't disappointed. We pitched up in our walking boots and wet weather gear having done the usual thirty minute walk across from Batcombe Vale campsite and were greeted like old friends. There was as always a really good selection of beers and... More

Dropped by here on the off chance located via Good Pub Guide and very nice too. Approached by narrow country lanes filled with large horses ridden by incompetent elderly ladies who must be passed with care, the pub is a lovely country style job with good beer and very pleasant staff doing their stuff smilingly and efficiently. All had roasts... More

Decided to travel to this pub for lunch following a shopping trip to Kilver Court and gardens. Journeyed down the narrow lanes to find this pub nestled in the pretty village of Batcombe. We had not booked but they found us a table inside. My Daughter and I had the traditional roast, lamb and beef. Really tasty, well presented food... More

Made our way here for Sunday lunch when staying at a local campsite. Excellent meal. I had beef, hubby had lamb. Both meals were plentiful with tender meat and fresh veg. We shared cheeseboard for pudding. Local cheese and enough to share. Would not hesitate to recommend. Excellent value for money.

...and I live on an organic cow farm in the area. Having moved out here from London, I had pretty high standards when it came to food, but I have to say that the food at the Three Horsehoes Inn, from lowly burgers to the highest end entree, rates very highly in my book. The chef uses locally sourced grass-fed... More
