A fantastic stop on your way into or out of Russell, enjoy a beautiful glass of wine with a wonderful view over the vines and water. The antipasto platters are consistently great

We stopped by Omata Estate after lunch whilst exploring Russell. When we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly resident black Labrador: Molly, she promptly led us towards the restaurant and we had a wine tasting for two. The view over the vineyard and the bay was amazing and the Port and the Pinot Gris was absolutely delicious we had... More

Tasty Syrahs here, the Port was also very, very nice. The tasting was a perfect option with their platter, although while tasting it would have been nice to know at tasting that the Port was no longer sold. We were very disappointed to find out that we could no longer buy any. Oh well, bought an extra Syrah to fill... More

We arrived here for lunch on a Monday and were immediately stunned by the spectacular views of the inlet. The vines were a few days from harvest and the outside eating area was slightly rustic, comfortable and relaxing. The staff member was delightful. The platter was good and the wines very acceptable. The entire experience was relaxed, enjoyable and spectacularly... More

We visited here on a wet day so the views across to Pahia were not the best. However the tasting presided over by Adriana was very good and we were happy to buy. The food platter at NZ$40 for two was good value and very good.

We spent a lovely relaxed afternoon here. We had the entire vineyard to ourselves. The staff were extremely helpful, attentive but left us to ourselves to relax and enjoy a very relaxing tasting which we enjoyed so much we ordered a platter and a bottle of chardonnay to while away the day. The lunch, as others have noted, is platter... More

We booked at the information centre after a recommendation of a friend. A courtesy car picked us up from the wharf. After a short 10 min drive we were sitting at a table on-top if a hill with an amazing view over the harbour. The wine tasting and platter were delicious and freshly prepared. The only food available was a... More

We visited the Omata Estate winery today. Such a peaceful & relaxing place. The platter was generous and delicious. The wine was perfect and very reasonable. Our hosts were lovely and knowledgeable about their craft. It was such a treat to have some time out in such a great setting. Thank you. IWould highly recommend.
