We did not have a booking and arrived late (9pm) thinking we might be given the "bum's rush". However this was not the case and we were welcomed by the smiling staff. In fact the restaurant was still really buzzing, and we very much enjoyed our single course meal. Although we were offered dessert, there was no pressure applied when... More

The hotel is right beside the sea and if you are lucky enough to get a seaside table then the view is just spectacular. The hotel itself is a wonderful old build so even seated inside is a great experience. We had the fish and chips, which was very good. The chips were served in their own wire basket which... More

Top notch location, this restaurant oozes old world charm.Make a reservation to avoid being disappointed and book a seaside table for the best views. The service was what you'd expect for an established location, not so much casual but very professional and proper. Our order was taken promptly and our food/drinks were fantastic. The seafood dishes were fresh and bursting... More

We were a group of 7 having a birthday dinner at the Duke on a recommendation of friends. We are glad we booked (Sat night) as it was busy and we had a fantastic table on the deck which was a great spot to take in the view and sunset. From the birthday greeting my wife received on arrival to... More

Nice view is all you get and you can get it for free right outside. Food was tasteless, oily and lacking in flavour whatsover. The calamari was edible but soggy. The fish and chips was dry and too oily and the baked fish was drowning in a sea of butter. Disappointment overall. All that for $80.

We had dinner twice as well as breakfast. Dinner was excellent both times, have the slow roasted lamb, cooked for 11 hours, you won't be disappointed. Breakfast was adequate.
