Good pub grub

The food is mostly typical pub grub but well made and there are surprisingly many gluten free options. We had GF fish of the day and a beef burger. The staff was friendly and very helpful when we had allergy related questions about the food.

Went on Monday for lunch. I asked if the fish of the day was grilled and the waitress said yes. Surprising, when i received the plate it was deep fried like fish and chips. Didn't complain because i was very hungry and i didn't want to wait more time to get my meal replaced. My mate ordered a burger with... More

We were a group of 5, all dishes came out at the same time. Service was really nice, the waiter came to the table to make sure everything was good, since they had some issues with the system, but everything was perfect. I had a really cold pale ale and try the salmon salad which I definitely recommend.

The staff were friendly and prompt. Best of all was the live music and atmosphere they had going on. The 2 piece band was super taleneted... More

My husband and I lop beer with intense hop flavor, and Mac's had a beer on tap that we absolutely loved. We returned to Mac's the next evening to enjoy some more of it, and give their burgers a try. Being American, I'm picky about burgers, and they did a great job. I really don't know anyone who can do... More

I had the "beer and burger" deal (and then another beer!). Excellent burger, good range of beers on tap, good service - what more could anyone want?

Arrived late Sunday afternoon for a drink sitting outside but after reading the deal and seeing the food decided to stay for dinner. Was not disappointed by the taste of the gorgeous fish and chips which was available battered or pan fried. This was then followed by yummy chocolate brownie and vanilla ice cream! All for 16 dollars! Option also... More

Food was great. Service was casual. Live music was phenomenal. Beer selection was awesome. The whole experience was tons of fun. They have discounts and specials and all kinds of Loyalty rewards to be had too. This place is really great. A MUST DO in Nelson!
