Multiple Winner of Best Cafe in Nelson. Bright, busy cafe in an historic building in central Nelson. Strong following of loyal locals but plenty to entice visitors as well. The menu changes seasonally and focuses on fresh, natural flavours that build on a number of ethnic cuisine styles. Our breakfasts have a large fan base with favourites like the Bacon & Eggs and Morrison Street's Local Breakfast staying on the menu year after year. Lunch includes Caesar Salad, Moroccan Pearl Couscous Salad and Chicken Tostada. There's plenty of fresh baking each day, a healthy kids menu and our coffee is excellent. There are lots of options for wheat, gluten & dairy sensitive people and vegetarians as well.

Tasty Food - Shame about the substandard Soy Milk

We were eagerly awaiting a visit to this cafe given the revues in this forum. The food was great, tasty and reasonably priced. However the most disappointing aspect was the choice of Soy Milk used in the coffees :( as this ruined our experience.

As a regular visitor I have a number of their excellent coffees per day. service is always friendly, and often a coffee awaits before I get to the front of the morning smoko rush queue. The meals are never waiting on the counter. Waitrons appear out of nowhere to bring the pates to the table. Only negative is that the... More

Great food and coffee - it was lovely to sit out in the sun at lunch time. Big servings! The eggs benedict was great.

Really enjoyed the breakfast here. My husband ordered the bagels and I had the rostis. Both were delicious and the food came our right away. Coffee was excellent too.

Our last visit before leaving Nelson, stumbled across this amazing cafe, coffee is to die for, food and service really good, wish we had found this place on day one.

I have tried a lot of cafe and have family who own a cafe. I can say that this cafe has the best coffee I have tried. It was double shot and strong - which is the way I like it. In the 5 days I stayed in Nelson I ate here twice - both time the food was excellent... More

Just popped in for a quick coffee and ended up staying for food and more coffee! Yes it is a bustling busy place but it doesn't stop them greeting you with a friendly smile and also a great 'have a good day' when you leave. Very impressed.

This place is everything the reviews say it is, great food, good coffee and attentive staff. We sat outside in the courtyard and were well looked after. I will definitely come here again.
