Multiple Winner of Best Cafe in Nelson. Bright, busy cafe in an historic building in central Nelson. Strong following of loyal locals but plenty to entice visitors as well. The menu changes seasonally and focuses on fresh, natural flavours that build on a number of ethnic cuisine styles. Our breakfasts have a large fan base with favourites like the Bacon & Eggs and our Pancakes staying on the menu year after year. Lunch includes fresh Salad Bowls, tasty Chicken Satay and the ever popular Pad Thai. There's plenty of fresh baking each day, a healthy kids menu and our coffee is excellent. There are lots of options for wheat, gluten & dairy sensitive people and vegetarians as well.

Lunch while on holiday in Nelson

Great vibe going on in the cafe and styleful outside seating area under black and white striped sun umbrellas. Really interesting varied menu with dietary options for those requiring it. Very good coffee. Had the BLT, my wife chicken sate with peanut sauce and salad ... Very tasty! Would go... read more

Recommended to go here for our breakfast. We sat outside and it was excellent. I had salmon on a toasted bagel...really good. Excellent coffee too!

We had lunch at Morri St cafe on a recent visit to Nelson as it was recommended by a friend. The menu was typical cafe food with an all day breakfast type menu - a decent choice of eggs, pancakes and other lunch dishes as well. We weren't sure if we were meant to take a seat or order at... More

This cafe is a regular haunt when we pop over from Blenheim as the food is always delicious & coffee hot. Love the muesli!

Brunch and coffee was fab - they were happy to accommodate dietary requirements. Was very busy but the wait time for food and coffee was well managed. All meals came out together which was lovely considering we were a rather large group.

I visited the Morri Street Cafe while holidaying in Nelson over the new year. I found little that could be improved on, great coffee and food, excellent FOH staff, possibly the best cafe staff I've experienced, one of the slickest run Cafes I've been to in recent memory and in my opinion the best in Nelson, no surprise they are... Had a good morning coffee here but nothing to eat. Took a while to come but was excellent. It was a busy post Xmas period so you do have to expect some delay.

After reading TA reviews we chose to have breakfast at Morri St while visiting Nelson, but we were unfortunately overall disappointed. The service when we walked in almost led us to walk straight back out - unsure whether to wait to be seated or not we awkwardly waited by the counter, eventually approaching a waitress who was not very friendly...
