The popularity of this cafe speaks for itself. Very tasty icecreams to take away, or sit and have in the cafe with a coffee.
Nelson's favourite summer spot. Hidden away a bit and can be expensive if your kids imaginations get away on your wallet, but a wonderful refuge from the trials of shopping. Seek it out.
We were all enthusiastically greeted as soon as we entered by 2 staff dressed as penguins as it was one of the girls last day. Sampled a few different flavors and it was very hard to decide on which to pick. The range is great with lots of classic favourites mixed with some interesting (but still delicious) new combos such... More
We love gelato, and have tried many sorts in different parts of the world, and this outlet stands up to any of them and outranks most. Yummy ice cream and gelato. Always seem to be busy. Good varieties of flavours to choose from! If I have a sweet tooth this is the first place I think of! Will be back again.
I really like Penguino's ice cream! The place is in the town centre and they serve many types of ice creams. The price is very good too!
Having eaten a LOT of gelato in recent years (especially in Australia) this compares pretty well. $NZ5.50 ($US4.50) gives you two decent scoops in either a cone or pottle. What can I say... its ice cream :-) Nice. Roomy establishment. Right in the centre of town. Walk out the door and stroll through the flea market on a Saturday Morning... mmmmm nice.
Something for everyone: the kids loved the strawberry and mum could try out wild flavours like Olive! Exquisite icecream, friendly service. Also great stroopwaffels.
very tasty ice-cream which has its price. I find over 3 dollars for a small cone a bit pricey but the times are over when you got a huge ice-cream for a dollar I suppose... But still worth going, definitely better value than the frozen yoghurt place which I think is completely overpriced.
