If you are staying in one of those hotels near by that's definitely a option for dinner! Its a cool small place with a very friendly staff and pretty decent food. Pretty sure the restaurant is owned by an Indian family. Comparing to otger restaurants around it was quite cheap. It was definitely a good value for my money... good... More

Had dinner during our overnight stay en-route. A limited menu and staff who were efficient but lacking in any personality or friendliness. Food was not bad.

Everything is totally perfect, the spices, the taste and flavours. The only thing that could improve is the presentation of food: it could for example be served in a nice bowl or something slightly creative that doesn't cost money. Average or slightly below average presentation, everything else amazing!

This restaurant was under staffed and producing one meal at a time which wasn't satisfactory given the number of people there. The Mango Chicken was way too sweet and the Chicken Korma tasted as if it had had a jar of ready made sauce tipped over it. It filled a gap but I won't be rushing back.

We ate lunch and dinner at this little mall restaurant a total of 4 times while in the airport area because we loved it so much. The lunch buffet is inexpensive, delicious and filling. At dinner, we were treated to auntie's homemade fritters and syrup. Delicious! Family run.

I arrived into Auckland Airport late afternoon on Friday 07/02/14 & was staying one night in a local hotel, the restaurant in the hotel was dead without any atmosphere or diners & decided to take a 10 walk to the local shops in Mangere, on arrival noticed 2 restaurants & decided on popping into the INDIAN EXPRESS, the staff were... Dinned with a group of 9 on 23rd Jan 2014 due to staying overnight at one of the airport motels. One of the children with us was having their 15th birthday and I asked the waitress if she could arrange some candles on a desert cake. Our whole table was speechless when a beautifully decorated mud cake with a birthday... More

We were on a 3 weeks holiday in NZ & came through this place. The place looked decent but service was terrible. The food we ordered was cold, tasteless & just bad. Ordered sweet & sour chicken, which was lumps of chicken deep fried & served with ketchup. It was very disappointing .

If you don't like Indian food this might be a good place to try. It tasted nothing like Indian. The butter chicken tasted like spaghetti bolognaise, the lamb Korma tasted like a 1970's casserole, the dominating flavour in the vegetable curry were the little bits of tinned corn, the mango chicken was so sickly sweet that my 7yo daughter remarked...
