We shared a lovely evening with friends at Fergies overlooking the bay with the lights of the Portland harbour glowing in the background. We all had the steak served with prawns and a white wine sauce cooked to our liking. Super, melt in the mouth! A couple of glasses of the house red complimented this dish.

Had a great lunch here early in Feb. then returned with friends to the biggest disappointment and embarrassment in tackling up venue then having one of the longest lunches ever. The waiter kept walking past clearing tables without once acknowledging us or even serving us water. We received water after an hour and then waited another hour for food and... More

We just popped in for an impromptu lunch at Fergies. We had a nice table near the window and it was nice to look at the waterfront. The service was excellent, as was the food. We would have cancelled a booking at another restaurant and booked for Mother's Day the next day but unfortunately they were booked out. No wonder,... More

Ate dinner here on a Tuesday night on a business trip. It was very quiet. The interior has good atmosphere, it was warm and inviting and the views of the bay were gorgeous. Had a main and a desert - Gorgeous marinara pasta with heaps of amazing fresh seafood and a delicious sauce, the serve was so big I couldn't... More

My wife said the seafood risotto was nice, I can't even remember anymore what my fish of the day was. It was all a bit hilarious. We had to get our chardonnay ourselves in the end, the waiter was so busy with one full table of 8 and an apparently completely new computer system that he forgot about us. When... More

As indicated in a prior review we decided to try the night menu here. We had guests from Melbourne and we were all impressed with the food quality. Each tried something different and all passed with flying colours. Flavours and tastes were excellent. As an example a lamb rack was cooked just a little pink and accompanied by diced mini... More

First visit to Fergies and it was for lunch. Very welcoming staff, impeccable service from our waitperson. Well presented glassware and table silver was gleaming. One small gripoe about the table was a cheap and nasty paper serviette. Paper serviettes are OK but better quality ones are available and would round out the table. setting. Food was most acceptable, a... More

Fish and chips cooked to perfection. Accompanying salad more Greek than green, but delicious. Home made tartare sauce. We had a couple of glasses of Reisling, perfectly dry. Seat by the window overlooking the harbour in an astounding restored post office building. This place has so much going for it, and I highly recommend it for lunch. The only quirky... More

We hoped to find a selection of seafood on the menu but we didn't. To start with we had natural oysters, but they got the order wrong and we got Kilpatrick which we sent back (we really didn't get can apology). Hubby had spaghetti marinara, it tasted great even the sauce which was tomato based. I had chilli prawn pasta... More

We had a wonderful meal here the service was spot on the food could not be faulted. It was nice to sit and eat in what was the old Post Office a building reaped in history. I would recommend it to others to try.
