Very Popular, Good Food and Value

The tour stopped in Kaikoura for lunch and a quick walk around this small seaside town. The restaurant was crowded but the line to order moved at a good pace and service was prompt for that many people in the restaurant. I had the seafood chowder and it was tasty, with roll and butter. We both chose seafood chowder for lunch which was delicious and came with a garlic butter roll.....or plain if preferred and was very filling.

This place always seems busy. We stopped in for a quick bite for breakfast and the portions were huge. Quick, friendly service and reasonably priced. The treats looked fab too.

Why not? The front of house person was rude and looked at me like I was the son of Satan when I ordered a banana berry smoothie. The coffee weak, teppid and bitter when it arrived, and my wife's $11.50 scrambled eggs were the worst she ever had. That's why not!

The buses always stop here. There are many other places you could go but when your time is limited and you want some quality food fast,... More

We hit this place for some warm drinks and food after the seal swim. Recommended by a local and well worth it.
