We went to Kamo Shiraz to celebrate my 60th birthday. It was a very cold night but the restuarant was lovely and warm. The main course is free for registered birthday folk. The meal and staff were great. I did want some vegetables but somehow couldn't see it on the menu. I should have asked I guess. However it was lovely... More

Got takeaways delivered from Shiraz which was part of why I chose them. The fact they deliver is really handy. Food was ok, nothing amazing but also nothing rubbish. Could have been a little more meat & sauce in my particular dish other than that though the flavours were great & the spice of medium fully tolerable.

Visiting Whangarei last weekend and tried this restaurant, we can say, the meals were yummy - above average. Our mains were Mango Prawn - in sweet and spicy taste, and Chicken Shan E Punjab - in mild spicy thick sauce, together with yummy Keema Naan and Garlic Naan, it was a really yummy dinner. Plus unlimited supply of Indian Rice.

This is a large restaurant and service can be slow although the food is good when it does come. The service from the waiter was not overly friendly and does nothing to entice you to go back as you can get similar Indian food at other restaurants

The food at Shiraz is very good (although bear in mind I am no connoisseur of Indian cuisine), but the flavours blend well with one another with just the right amount of spiciness, sourness, saltiness, and sweetness in it. Every spoonful is such a delight and enjoyment. It is obvious that Shiraz has a great recipe and the chef is... More

We have been to the Shiraz on several occasions. After trying the major competitor and being very disappointed with the food we switched to Shiraz and have not ever been let down. Perhaps there was one time that our butter chicken was a little thin on chicken, but other than that the food has been consistently delicious. We love the... More

Good service and nice enough restaurant. Very large size. I imagine it could get quite noisy when really busy, but I picked a non-peak hour (haha). Great to quickly drop in for a bite to eat.

Large restaurant, one of very few open on 1st January, with massive TV screen ( but you can sit well away). The owner and family were also eating, a good(ish) recommendation. We had above-average food with complementary poppadoms, and a pleasant young waitress. Think it could get noisy if busy.

I've been to Shiraz in Walton Street three times now. The food is delicious but on each occasion the service has been lacking. Myself and a friend ate there for the first time in May of this year. We were later joined by another person but none of the wait staff came to see if she would like to order.... More

Love the food, atmosphere and music. Prefer Walton Street Restaurant to the Kamo one. Tables are not jammed together so you can have private conversations. Great service and choice of food. Also offers some European options so caters for a variety of tastes. Our favorites include Tandoori Prawns, Chicken Saag and Lamb Masala. Has lunchtime specials as well as a... More
